Hi Dannie. Did most but not all of my list last week but also completed many tasks that were not on the list. Have sawn off a 2' chunk of the ivy 'branch' and filled the green bin. Lots more on the floor but the end of that task is in site. However think hand quilting the new cover for the old coverlet will go on into next month too (as long as it's in use again by next Winter, it doesn't matter.

Hard work with the energy company and the ombudsman has finally paid off. Received an e-mail late yesterday and 3 cheques for amounts I demanded will be with me within 7 days (cancelled the direct debits as I didn't want them to take any more money they aren't entitled to. Also promised to put the tech bods onto putting the reads right on my other account and then that amount will be refunded as well.

Will try to do a detailed list (struggling with this format) but generally, more house chores, more getting rid, some planting and tidying in the yard, more sewing. Also need to appoint a new estate agent. Sole rights period for bad agent ended yesterday and had given them 30 days notice to yesterday and continue to acquire skills needed top change the direction of my business (and hopefully make some money).

    Have a good week everyone.

    Hi Mothernerd and Dannie :)

I have my DH home between contracts and I haven't really got any normality at the moment  This is the 3rd week he has been back so am now settling back to some kind (ish) of routine.

You are both doing so well and ploughing not plodding though your tasks so a very well done to you both.

I have done loads of jobs that really needed doing and have been in my head list for a long time :rotfl:

Painted the kitchen including all the cupboards which I am so pleased with and only cost £10 in paint so very frugal.

But it took ages so the housework has suffered so that's what I am to do over the next week to get back on top of that.

So going to do a spring clean  Room by room me thinks :(

    Good luck with your lists

    Mav x

From last Sunday until the end of Saturday,

    1) Collect some garden soil to re-pot some indoor plants and maybe sow a few seeds for indoor plants. Rose plant care.
    2) Refreshing and decluttering themes* -
    a) spring clean more curtains.
    b) using up food ingredients/estimating how long the UHT milk supply will last.
    c) file away/shred old paperwork.
    d) any other tasks connected with the above stated themes*.

Pleased to say that I have already made a start with these jobs.

P.S. Thanks for your message and post mothernerd.

    Hi mothernerd and mavvymoo,

Hope your still doing okay with your lists. It does seem you are both making a lot of progress!

Last week, I didn't collect any garden soil as the weather was poor making the soil wet and less workable. Also, I did not pass a local shop that sells easy to carry small bags of compost which I think would be a better idea afterall. I did, however, sort out the rose gardens i.e. pruning, ensuring plenty of air circulation and fertilising.

    Refreshing/decluttering tasks -
    - just one curtain cleaned
    - general housework
    - defrosted fridge freezer, used up contents as much as possible and
milk assessed to be re-stocked next week
    - tidied up the gardens' bird area i.e. from any uneaten food and the
old homemade food base was replaced
    - used some "old" paint to refresh the existing address on the council bins
    - the filing was done, bits of paperwork and computer bookmarks were decluttered.

I am unsure what the plan is for next week so will have a think tonight. Good luck.

Thanks for your message last Friday mothernerd.

Last week, the Easter (edible) presents were either homemade from my own ("low costing") store cupboard ingredients or purchased. Did not visit the churchyard but with this task, I try to be flexible due to finding it difficult in several ways. Just a few different food choices were made for this month. There may be a few extra bits required but will try and keep using what I already have "stored". The diary jobs revealed that I stayed within budget again (3/3 this year) plus the figures for other challenges were updated. Lastly, the clothing items were repaired but really new or second hand may be needed. However, I do not want to purchase anymore (second-hand or new); hopefully weightloss will save me the expense and trip to the shop(s)!

Last night, I just noted "Garden - bindweed" meaning the main task for this next weekly challenge will be to remove this weed. It will be quite a big job and other garden jobs will be done during the week too. The only other list is concerning my daily nutrition which are just reminders to use up perishables, recipe ideas and ideas to make the daily diet interesting.

    Hope everybody is doing okay.

Quite a good week in terms of gardening thanks mothernerd. The bindweed, after further research, was actually Lesser Celandine. This was becoming quite widespread so many basins of this uprooted weed has been put in the council bin for collection. I avoided composting them via my own bins in case they survived the process. They are all cleared but I expect some will appear again next Spring. However, presently, the land can be better used for edible plants.

Other gardening jobs were also done :-
    1) Transplanted edible weeds
    2) Sorted out lawn borders
    3) Composting/new compost bin started
    4) General weeding
    5) New soil for the indoor tomato plant (last years) and cacti. Re-potted the indoor sweet pepper plant.
    6) Sorted out the wild birds feeding area.

Lastly, the daily nutrition (ongoing) task went about the same; although occasionally extra food eaten and money spent due to worry/feeling unwell? Getting weekly tasks done helps!

Weekly jobs from today until the end of next Saturday :-

    1) Level out the land with topsoil where the weeds were uprooted.
    2) Moss is the next plant species to clear.
    3) Feed plants with fertiliser.
    4) Spring cleaning - more curtains.
    5) Check soap/toothpaste supply.
    6) Daily nutrition ongoing with no spend days in mind as unexpected bill(s) this month means "gone over budget".

Good luck to anybody working through their weekly lists.
