It's okay mothernerd. Your throat and chest symptoms sounded very unpleasant on top of dealing with other health aspects and everyday life. "Bad" health days does make it tough getting on with everyday life/doing other challenges I find. Sometimes I wonder why there are so few of us doing this weekly challenge? Anyway, hope everybody here gets something out of their weekly plan.

Mothernerd sorry to hear you have been unwell :( But your walking sounds as if it is coming along well.
The 15 min thing sounds like a very good idea and I may pinch it and add it in to my routine (actually thats a lie as I have no routine and I need some kind of plan me thinks :D)
I can report that I have done my small list of jobs this week but have struggled a bit.But have plodded on and got it done :)
So will do extra bits and then start thinking about next weeks list.

Good luck to all and enjoy these sunny days always makes me feel so much better.

 Hello sophieo16 and hi to mavvymoo. Yes, it has been "quiet around here" so surprised to see your posts. Good luck.

My list for the week (Sunday until the end of Saturday) :-

    1) Will clear the path and pavement area of last years woody prunings. The prunings to be collected but the leaf litter/mulch underneath will be used.
    2) Decide about a packet of gardening seeds from ebay by reading about the seeds that make up this particular selection.
    3) One ebay purchase (food ingredient) to be made. Keep checking whether superstores are withdrawing their own brands (e.g. "everyday value", "smart price" etc. A thread on another forum is wondering about the latter of these two). If so, include any required items in my next online order and/or store visit.

    1) All the prunings cleared and collected. Underneath each pile there was a semi-ready leaf mulch so this was either composted or put around two bushes.
    2) Did the research but opted for two different types of garden seeds.
    3) E-bay item purchased so along with extra gardening seeds purchased will be careful not to overspend this month. The thread was "ASDA not showing Smart Price products?" ("Food Shopping & Groceries"). However, tend to use "Everyday Value" so only bought two of these grocery items whilst visiting the store just in case.

So did very well last week and finished everything quickly.

From Sunday until the end of Saturday :-

    1) Need to purchase a present this week, so keep listening carefully what the person says, enabling something suitable and hence not wasting money.
    2) Sort out the wardrobe to see if pants still fit for wearing indoors, gardening and biking uses. Two pairs worn a lot are now ready to turn into rags.
    3) Online grocery orders being considered. This month, or next month, shop locally, or none of these?

Not a lot going on this week so a bit disappointing. However, somebody mentioned that once Spring arrives, there will be more to do e.g. gardening and for the time being to do any indoor tasks. Consequently, will do any of these if I can think of any.

    1) After considering what the person seemed to say would be okay, whilst making a required grocery (milk) online order, suggested these present ideas to them. Consequently, two items included in the order. Also, made some cherry white chocolate from two ingredients which were (free) glace cherries and and a "cheap" white chocolate bar.
    2) Sort of done. Just tried one pair which are reasonably okay fitting. Didn't want to try them all because if they did not fit it might have caused me to feel worse/head for the kitchen! One very old pair were made into needed rags and the others kept for now.
    3) My food grocery purchases mainly consisted of the usual milk order and a few salad bits. Locally spent £2.24 (excluding chocolate present cost and unused food groceries).

Miscellaneous - Weeding, composting and reading about the health benefits of the garden seeds purchased. Using up present food "stocks" and prepared pear cider vinegar. Cleaned some of the bathroom and decluttered some paperwork. Lastly, calculated end of February finances.

Sorry for my absence last week. I walked to the infirmary twice, for blood tests and a diabetic foot appointment. Ate the food I had taken with me and then did the walk back. On Thursday ventured as far as the canal bank and along as far as the first bridge. A week ago I managed to mop the bathroom for the first time since my op and also washed, dried and ironed the new covering for the quilt (still need something for the ends).

These are all signs of progress. Unfortunately they made me so tired I had to rest/have a nap and also had the dreaded D & V bug (possibly the only one I had managed to avoid all Winter). But did an emergency shop so could miss out shops this week - will try.

List for Week Commencing Sunday 1st March 2015

    1) Eat a frog a day
I have written a list of ten so far and crossed one off. I planted the foxgloves (3 med -large plants) I fished out of mum's green bin 2 weeks ago. Hard work and also did a little more ivy clearing (1/2 a bin full) and a bit of path clearing (shovelling soil off - did the main path to the bottom of the yard last October but need to get the rest of the slabs clear). Can only do a few shovels before having to stop so will take a while to get that frog done. Can only do it when it's dry.

    2) Sewing New cover onto Quilt/Comforter The old silk cover is faded and worn through in places. Have done all the set up work now. This is my March project but will do what I can everyday.

    3) DECLUTTER An old favourite back on the agenda. DS3 has told me it's now looking like it will be the year after next before he and his gf can afford to move in together so all those duplicate kitchen tools can go to the cs to benefit someone else. Also time to shift some of the larger items like the washing machine (DS2 was renting this house from me and I bought him a wm for Christmas 2 years ago). Hanging on to mine in case DS3 and gf needed it but cash and space would be more useful now. Another ongoing through March project (and until other house sells).

    4) Daily Walk Another hospital visit this week and also walk to mum's.Try canal bank again or anywhere away from the shops.

    5) Housework in 15 minute chunks. Worked well on the two days I achieved it - over three hours a day (still taking a long while to do most things). Need to try to do some every day -the state of the house is getting to me.

    6) Pampering at least 15 minutes a day starting with intensive moisturising of my feet. Only just able to reach them and DS3 refused to touch them (he put my socks on and tied my shoelaces) so they are very dry and need some care and attention. Other areas need help too.Just need the house to get warm enough to take my clothes off- spent most of last month with 4 or 5 layers of clothing and hiding under the bedclothes at times.

    Have a good week everyone.

My list starting from today until the end of Saturday :-

    1) Check outdoor cycling mileometer for end of month figures i.e. how many miles in February?
    2) Health food store BOGOF so will make purchase(s) before the offer runs out. Also, need another health supplement elsewhere.
    3) What to do about the losing weight challenge on these forums? Continually not getting anywhere (i.e. weight increase) since the start of last year.
    4) Reduce calories and meal plan.
    5) Decluttering. Keep tidying the garden when possible.
    6) Sort out some root cuttings from a plant.
    7) Clean out the inside and outside of the toilet.

Morning Dannie and Mothernerd thanks for your updates nice to know we are all plodding on :)

I am doing the lose weight challenge as I need to keep it off as I am 7 stone lighter than I was 5 years ago and I am NOT going to let my weight creep up

It is all about planning your meals Dannie making sure you have something in so you are not tempted to eat rubbish. Also a tip I learnt and try to stick to is never eat standing up always make sure you are sitting down and take your time.

Normally if I pick at rubbish I will be standing and eat before you realise you are doing it  So with the actual preparing of something it makes you think .Do I really need this ? and you question yourself before you shove it in :rotfl:

    Anyway on to my list

1, Sell some items on FB that are cluttering up the spare room
2, Hoover and clean floors (again)
    3,paint unit
4, prepare bedroom ready for decorating
5, order dogs medication from vets - Done
6,Clean sofas (back on list from last week)
    7, dust lounge
    8, clean kitchen
    9,clean bathroom
10, give walls behind main sofa a clean

    Good luck
