Welcome Deaf Leopard - if it works for you. However if it starts getting you down I would suggest breaking it down into smaller chunks eg the early years folder sounds like a big thing that could end up being put off week by week but if you say print three things/ ten things this week (which ever is appropriate) you are nibbling away at the task. Please feel free to ignore me if it's something you could sort in an afternoon.

  • That's good advice. I need to find a lot of makaton stuff ...
It's not something that I have to do for work, but it's there if I need to plan an activity or need to refresh my mind on a certain makaton sign e Or just ideas for what to do at circle time ect...

Some of it I can't do until my mum is off / available (such as switching phone bill over since we both need to be there to comfirm it)

I got one thing done today though.
I sorted out my Christmas presents that I brought, made a record of it all too.

Hello, this is what I decided :-

    Fertilise the potatoes.
Update money diary of spends so far this month.
Keep completing youtube videos or listening to radio programmes.
Nutrition - work out recent recipes i.e. calories etc. and use up or freeze "old" fridge items.
    Decluttering - anything possible really.

    Good morning list-makers,

Last week went okay. The potato plants have been fertilised. Watched some videos and listened to the radio often whilst doing various seated tasks; especially useful if they are tedious jobs. The nutritional area was done along with the constant attention to food perishables. Lastly, did do some decluttering, although would like to be more decisive with some things and not have the behaviour to "put things off".

Today will have a tidy up and think about a new list.
:hello: Hi DeafLeapard - Good luck.

Hi, forgot to say in my last post that I updated my money diary (i.e. spends to date).

Here is my list from last Sunday to the end of Saturday:-
Sun tidy up day - done.
Sun until the end of Sat - Eat more raw food. See if 1kg is possible.
Mon until the end of Sat -
    Assess monthly expenditure (money diary).
Front garden tidy up - still bits to do.
Collect any garden seeds for next year sowing.
    Tidy bedroom - windowsills mainly.
Decluttering - aim for 6 hours; those examples not ordinarily tackled.

    Hope your week goes okay!

You're all doing very well. I started to write a long post on Friday but lost it (I had more or less finished everything on the old list). Will try to write it out again later today but my world is just crazy atm - sorry laptop cut out again. The more I try to hold things together, the more my brother and sons contrive to mess it up and the curve balls just keep coming.

DS1 has been today and we have put lino down in the tiny toilet with an extra piece wrapped round the hardboard bit that covers the pipes (the 'hardboard' is so old you can pull chunks off it so big improvement), put in 3 pieces of laminate at the bottom of the attic stairs (stairs weren't finished when laminate man was here so there was a gap), put new handle on bathroom door (missing for years as people kept getting locked in there and freaking out). He also re-attached the two big doors the carpet men took off and left in the kitchen.

I've filled in around two light switches, ordered a removal van for next Tuesday/ Wednesday (4.30pm pick up and drop it back, should suit my brother and youngest son as the are both nocturnal and will be easier at the old house because all the shops will be shut so no restrictions on parking) and moved lots of boxes down from the attic. Ds1 ordered the bits I need for my laptop.

I need to rest atm but will do more later. I have a long list written for tomorrow - going to be at the old house as the man is coming to install the new boiler. Need to take rags, clean, get as much of DS2's stuff outside as possible (some is only going to the tip), get the curtains down (if I can get on the steps), move things round where I can but best of all open all the windows and doors wide to get rid of as much tobacco smell as possible. have cancelled my health trainer appointment (it was the 19th and op is scheduled for 13th so put it back to December). Need to phone DS2 again (not answered my last call) as all his stuff needs to be out of the house this Saturday (stupid boy).

    Keep plodding everyone.

  • argh. after cleaning all day yesterday,
i came home to find my room trashed because of my dog and sister.
(my dog is deathly afraid of fireworks and tries to hide under or in anything. Yes, even the kitchen cupboard; she threw out all our lunch boxes and almost squeezed in)

so i'm trying to tidy up what i can now...
can't blame them both though since my sister don't have space or the things she needs like i do)

    Busy week ahead,so starting now.

Tasks for week to SUNDAY 9th NOVEMBER

1 CLEAN AND CLEAR BOTH HOUSES.
Charity shop and rubbish (leaving house permanently)Measure and Plan old house (moving back into old house, selling this). DS2's stuff to be out of old house by Monday pm (preferably before). Monday/Tuesday dismantle/ move things downstairs here. Freezer defrosted. Trying to take something downstairs every time I go down. Boxes and bags to be filled. Take bed down when I get up tomorrow.

2 MEETING WITH VALUER from 'buy your house company'. Just to give me the option (prices for both houses but already sure moving back to old house is best for me for now). Make a decision to sell or contact Estate Agent. The house buyers also do a quick sale service as well which we agreed was more appropriate to my needs SO HOUSE IS OFFICIALLY UP FOR SALE

3 CONFIRM OPERATION. Confirm equipment required for after op (was different for two houses). DONE

4 SEE DOCTOR (Make List). Check/cancel podiatry appointment (in same building).

5 CHECK WITH RELATIVE TAKING ME INTO HOSPITAL Date/ time (before the buses start) DONE and he will bring me home as well. Got phone numbers.

6 MOVE HOUSE Tuesday pm/Wednesday am.

7 READ THROUGH HOSPITAL INFO AGAIN

    8 START HOSPITAL LIST/BOX
Need small rucksack atm but can put things ready and pack day before. Bought two full length skirts from cs to wear after op (hides stocking things and loose enough to put on and not irritate wound. Small 'travel pack' of tissues.

9 CEMETERY VISIT last of the pre-Christmas tasks. Have an all week bus ticket and will be on crutches for six weeks after the op, so ticking everything off the list. Cut lots of ivy seed-heads (well actually cut 4 branches then cut the bits off when we were all back on the ground) and rose-hips. Two heart shaped bits of oasis (previous cs find) soaking now - will do another active bit then arrange when I rest again.

10 CRAFT BOX/ bits and ideas to mum's on Friday. Did lots of craft with young sort of relative last year. May not be able to do it this year but will pass on gathered scraps and ideas to her mum, aunt and uncle.Take sewn gifts if possible.Bought a small cyclamen for mum - my brother always bought her flowers so since he died I buy her something, but usually a plant rather than flowers. Also bought white choc money for DS3 (he's 23) and some white choc snowmen (saw them while buying the tissues). Craft pile growing.

    11 REST WHEN NECESSARY

Will try to report back but after Tuesday will be restricted to 1/2 hour in the library, internet switchover to old house is 17th. So glad my dormant organisational gene has kicked in. Don't worry about me, last time I had an operation I was organising major renovations on two houses and washing machine and dishwasher had to be installed while I was having my op.Signed up for library home delivery service - could probably do the walk but not sure about carrying.
