Tenth Anniversary 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Debt-free and Proud!
I have got a lot more bits out of the way but I did overdo it at one point. Yesterday I was getting very stressed (woke late and still wanted to go rushing off, without eating Very Bad Plan). A couple of minor things went wrong so I decided it was time to back off and take it easy for the rest of the day - I have to get a balance between chipping away at the job list and resting when appropriate.

Getting ready to explode atm (don't do it very often). My DS2 was renting my old house. He has just got a proper job (I insisted he kept his p-t pub job after leaving university until something came along) and has rushed into moving into a house share and is talking about all the clothes he can buy and being able to have driving lessons. No concern about all the money he owes me and he has moved his clothes and big tv etc but made very little effort to deal with the furniture he has accumulated. He also smoked in the house (the one rule I gave him was not to smoke as I cannot bear the smell and it took 18 months to rid my father's house after he died).

It would actually suit me to move myself and DS3 back into the little house and hand the keys to this over to the Estate Agent to sell (think showing people round would be pushing myself to my limit) The little house is small, easy to heat and keep clean but the number of things I need to do/ be done is boggling my brain atm. So I will use this as my list but it isn't going to be done by next week (just need to set it out as a starting point - can break it down into smaller tasks later).

JOB LIST TO ORGANISE BY SUNDAY 19th OCTOBER
1 DS2's things out of the little house.
May ask DS1 to speak to him. If I lose my temper he will just revert to saying I don't love him and always side with DS3 against him (poor middle child).

2 Couch for brother. My brother needs a couch but he has been away for a month. need to liaise with mum to see if he has any means of taking it (he has a camper van but no car and he can't lift, I can't lift, he would have to pick me up and take me to old house - if I can get in the camper van, maybe ask DS3 to go). Just had words with DS3 (didn't shout) as he also needs to do a lot more.

3 Tobacco smell form old house. Upholstered items need to be out. Curtains etc will need washing and leaving on the line to air. Windows need to be left open but only when someone is there. Already using several neutrad*l and plug-ins.

4 Organise boiler man. (old house needs a new boiler) Already have an estimate but mum is paying and she had to go into hospital so I need to contact him and see when mum can get the money - she only came out of hospital last Friday and has to rest. This should be good as will have to spend a whole day at old house so could be good time to sort/ de-clutter providing some/ all the big stuff is gone.

5 List of Jobs needed here. Nearly done but will wait to see what DS1 and I get through tomorrow before revising. Want to paint back of bathroom door so handle can go on (only realised the other week that I had only undercoated it).

6 SELL SELL SELL The more things I can get rid of the less that needs to be put on a van. Also will not be able to use under the counter fridge after my op, the old one (left with DS2) is a half and half with the fridge at the top so could use that until it is no use (freezer drawers aren't great - boys had a habit of kicking them back in after late night fridge raids), Similarly may as well sell washing machine here and keep the one I bought DS2 as a Christmas present (he tried to sell it back to me!!).

    7 Going into Hospital Prep
    - List for next time I go to the Doctor's - who will take my stitches out etc. Check diabetic foot appointment again.
    - House prep list - need to measure chair, bed, toilet so they can work out any aids I need.
    - Personal - includes finding someone with feet a bit bigger than mine. If my feet swell and I can't get my own shoes on - boys all much too big.

8 HOUSE UP FOR SALE asap

    9 DE-clutter at mums.
Ongoing project. Stalled recently because I had problems getting up the steep stairs (she is supposed to have an additional stair rail fitted). Plan is for mum to come and live with me (in a new property which suits us both - but not going to think about that yet) if/when her partner dies (he is older, has alzheimer's + diabetes and sulks if anyone tries to make him follow his diet - hoping mum's stay in hospital will have shown his children how much care he needs and they will give mum more support, otherwise I need to have words). If I am stripping my house and possessions, it isn't so mum can move in with as much junk as she likes, de-cluttering will recommence.

Sorry for the long post but it has made my head feel clearer. Most of those will have sub-headings, just need to work through them, put them in order and DO THEM.

    Have a good week everyone.

Wasn't going to post a list this week (I need to have a good tidy up and find out where I am up to with everything). However, after a stressy start to the day, I am back in bed resting (not much sleep and leg is bothering me) so list might help me get my thoughts in order.

    MONDAY 20th OCTOBER
1 Odds and ends PAINTING DONE
    2 Phone DS2
He has moved out of the little house but left all the furniture and a significant number of possessions/ no cleaning done/ still got to get rid of smoke.DONE BUT NOT RESOLVED (he's a pita)
3 Phone plumber re installing new boiler at little house - I left a message but he hasn't got back to me.Phone charging CONTACTED - New boiler Friday NEXT WEEK.

When boys wake up (DS3 has a friend round but they were up late)
4 Go through hospital 'homework' need to measure heights of seats, toilet etc (and space available for rails) plus loads of questions (can't measure my own leg) to see what aids I will require post-op.DONE
5 PHOTOS of as many things to sell as possible for selling (DS3 bought a new camera on Saturday - friend had good tech knowledge). Photos onto my laptop. List of tech questions. DONE (More to do but the light was going)

    TUESDAY 21st OCTOBER
    6 Hospital Appointment
Going through how to do things (and what not to do after operation). Group session then individual going through questions we are doing today (they have rushed me into this appointment - could happily have waited and would have more things sorted out, only got mum out of hospital a week ago. Have written both our Christmas cards - will go in the box when I get called into hospital). 1 and 1/2 hours at hospital but 2 hours + (need to allow 3 going) for getting there
(3 buses). YIKES Possible Date 6th November - not officially notified but occupational therapist had it on his form.
    7 If possible
    Top up phone
    (near bus station) DONE
Mini SM shop for salad stuff (too many sandwich and soup type meals, not enough fresh veg - took a while to click that I was actually too tired to stand cooking, not just cba).DONE
    8 Time permitting
    Repair DS3's new outfit
before conference (gf's mother will do it but he would rather not be obligated to her) Not done because he didn't get my sewing kit down
?? Leave list of suggested jobs for boys to do (friend is good at diy/ anything that needs/ is easier for 2 to do - stair-rail back on attic stairs) Nothing got done while I was out.

    WEDNESDAY 22nd OCTOBER
9 DS1 coming to complete digging 'lawn' area.
Spade broke last week (had given up a second day off - working Saturday instead). New spade has been bought. Bit late for sowing lawn but looks good any way. Coming Friday instead DONE
10 DS3 goes off to gf's and from there to Anime Convention at weekend (friend goes home). Cue washing/ cleaning/ clearing (Get the Estate Agent to take photos before he comes back if at all possible - would do massive open day if I could).Loads of washing, washing up, rubbish out, clothes on line - lots more to do, limiting myself to 15 minutes at a time in there SO DEPRESSING Clothes hung up. DS1 took things to the shed so can get all across the room.

Try not to get dragged off to hospital prematurely. have a good week everyone.

Hi, back at last with the update -

All the gardening jobs were done or started. Didn't bother about anymore beechnuts as they had fell to the pavement/into the grass so crushed, insect-ridden or a source of food for nature. Didn't waste any food but this caused more work, yet money saving. I did do the grocery order afterall. The other indoor jobs were also completed. Finally, attended one health appointment and one not until later this month.

Hello, this is what I decided :-

    Fertilise the potatoes.
Update money diary of spends so far this month.
Keep completing youtube videos or listening to radio programmes.
Nutrition - work out recent recipes i.e. calories etc. and use up or freeze "old" fridge items.
    Decluttering - anything possible really.

Hope I can join. I only get a few days a week, if that to do things so I made a huge list and will use those days to complete as much as I can.

I know this is weekly but I don't really get enough time to do much when I'm working.

    My list is as follows:
Anything with * by the side means that those are important to do.

Switch phone bill over to me *
Fill out provisional form (and pay) *
    Clear out under bed
    Wipe / vacuum floor
    Sort out desk *
    Clean computer
    Clean make-up desk *
Print out things for my early years professional folder - resources, ideas, activities I like/want to do etc...
    File payslips and important documents
Go through Christmas presents and record
Pay mum £6 for wear it pink Tshirt *
    Wash make-up brushes *
    Tidy dvd shelf
    Tidy book shelf
Sort out craft boxes to find stamps
Give stamps to girl at work
