really at that point for me life was just too much.
I now always remember his words of wisdom 'Does it really matter'
So now if I don't get round to doing something I feel I should of done I always remember those words
At the end of the day its not life and death and if I think about it like that I always do more as I have taken the pressure off myself
Good luck
Mav x
cross-postedThank you for this, Mav - I really need to remind myself about this for this work thing this week. I'll give it my best shot, but it's not life or death, it's just work!

Well ive been productive today, phoned drs & dentist. And rearranged an appointment.
Sorted the washing yesterday and got half of it washed. 3 more piles to go which will get done over next couple of days. Purposefully leaving them in living room til they done!!
Did a meal plan and posted it on meal plan thread to keep me right.
Now just about to go strip chicken from its carcass n put it on to boil n make some yummy soup :T0 -
Oh and I did a 15min challenge!!
Ps to all those struggling to complete lists, ive decided to rename my to do list into "this week I wish to do" then if its not fully done I cant beat myself up, because you dont always get everything you wish for in life, but when u do, it's a good feeling!
Pps I cant remember who was saying oh has dementia, but I second the power of attorney.
And what ages are the children? Can they not help out more around house, maybe give them a to do list of their own?0 -

oooh to do lists! can I join please. I have lists of to do lists :rotfl:
seriously, my new years resolution is all about getting everything done in the simplest way possible. So i have started lists. But many different lists. One for big stuff. One for health stuff. One of all the little jobs around the house that we have never got round to, and that ones known as the snagging list. A diferent page of my big list book( nice book) for each. Am i sounding crazy yet?:rotfl::o.
in theory if i spend a few hours working on a big list item every week, ticking off 1 snagging list every week, learn one new technology thing, and achieving the health goals every week, I will get a lot further than jumping in and having fits and starts with it all. I will have completed 50 small jobs around the house!!!!
So this week:
Buy car (big list)
scrub rust off shower rail with appropriate substance. (snagging list)
2.5 hours excercise and stick to diet!!!!
learn one new technology thing( install spotify)
update list book ( yeah seriously, just how obsessed can i be!)0 -
Hi,
Still working upon my three set tasks. The "room under the stairs" is looking much cleaner, decluttered and spacious. Additionally, spare bike parts and tools slowly being put away along with a little time spent sorting out old files. What has happened is initially a big mess created, with other things getting left, but eventually pleasing once set job is achieved.0 -
So I managed to complete my last list (hooray for me!!)
So it's time for the next one.
I am struggling with my health at the moment so I won't be
Pulling boxes out the loft or anything but I will:
• put rest of things already sorted out on eBay
• take old ironing board to tip
• go and choose and order new cooker
• learn lines for show (I'm in the wizard of oz!!)
That will see the week out and hopefully will have new list for
Next week (as long as I am feeling better)0 -
