Thanks Crafty, I'm just having a tough time at the minute I think. Hope your power gets restored soon. Have you spoken to the distributor? They should be able to tell you whats happening, why the power has gone off and give you an estimated time for the restoration of supply.loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!:eek:0

Its been a very tough, stressful and upsetting week punctuated with problems caused by OH who is 77 and suffers from Dementia and children and I feel quite disappointed in myself that I haven't done everything I wanted to do however I did post a parcel back to Amazon and the refund has now been credited to my account, I also have claimed my money back from Topcashback and managed to get my QDOS Reward card working again, as well as negotiating a repayment plan with Wonga and PDUK ( Yes!!! I know I shouldn't have taken a loan out with them in the first place!!!!). I've also written to the bailiffs who are chasing OH for money he owes them advising that I have purchased everything in our home and can prove this, that I'm not responsible for his debts as am not actually married to him and that the tenancy of the house is in my name. Am terrified that they will take mine and the childrens belongings even though I can prove ownership of them and don't think I should be held responsible for his debts, am very, very upset over this. This week I will:
A: Take my lunch to work ( I really must start doing this)
B: Eat less, I have a tendency to binge when I am upset or stressed
C: Make sure that at the very least all minimums are paid on cards and that bills are up to date. I get paid on the 15th of every month so look at this as the start of the month from a financial point of view.Sort out a budget of some kind for myself and set up standing orders to save with Credit Union
E: Return You View Box to Talk Talk and make sure they credit my account.
F: Look at another TV package, though I don't really want one, its more for the kids than myself. I've cancelled SKY as realised I couldn't afford it.
G: Try to get some money out of OH yet again, he has lost his bank card and claims his account has been emptied, might try and take a trip to the bank with him to get things sorted out if I can because I have no idea what is happening with his money or account and am sick and tired of supporting him financially.
G: Try to stop feeling so upset, nervy and stressed with myself and worrying so much.
Sorry for the moan and rant!!!! Am just feeling pretty down and depressed with myself at the minute I'm afraid.
're your OH and dementia , have you considered power of attorney ?Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
Hi Everyone!
I'm so glad I've found this thread as it's right up my street! I need to become more organised and list making, whilst not my strong point, may just give me the kick up the a** I need to get things done. With it being a Sunday, planning for the week ahead is ideal.
I'm fortunate that I am off for the week (unfortunate that it's to revise for an exam) so my plans for this week are:
1. Prepare a housework plan so that I can be on top of everything week to week.
2. Meal plan for the week ahead with some batch cooking too.
3. Revise, revise, revise! I'm particularly bad at this and an unsuccessful year last year has not given me the boot that it should have. This is a KEY ongoing issue.
4. Clear the kitchen drawers. They are full of rubbish?! I know every kitchen has a drawer that has been consigned to 'not sure where it should go so I'll put it in there' but these are really bad.
5. I really struggle to wake up in the morning. I'm always late for work. Given that I'm off this week I'm going to plan to be up and out the door for 9am every morning. I'm studying in the university library so that I'm not distracted by MSE or the TV.
That's five, I could keep going but think that that's enough for now. I'm a terrible procrastinator so if I can be successful with these then we'll see where I can go from there.
Good luck for the week ahead everyone. :T

Hi loobylou2 sorry you are having a tough time.
Don't feel you are failing at anything. you are doing your best.
I make my list very small for various reasons, then it is a near certainty to get done.
Howevever, in my diary I keep another list and if I get anything done on this list I see it as a bonus and feel better.
Please keep trying, many of us are probably only putting items on a list that most people take for granted and are able to do every day.
Don't beat yourself up about it we are all here because for various reasons we are not getting done what we would like to and feel that if we post it can help focus.
Hope your day gets better our electric is off so mine can only get better !
Hi Crafty, I like the idea of a small list, I'm struggling a bit and maybe small will work for me.

Morning everyone
Sorry to hear that some of you are having a hard time of it at the momentJust do as much as you feel you can and make your lists small as you feel worse if you think in your head you failed (which of course you didn't)
I had therapy a while ago because I could never get anything done and was late for everything, And really at that point for me life was just too much.
I now always remember his words of wisdom 'Does it really matter'
So now if I don't get round to doing something I feel I should of done I always remember those words
At the end of the day its not life and death and if I think about it like that I always do more as I have taken the pressure off myself
Last week I did nearly everything on my list apart from only went to the gym 3 times.
But I did do extra by painting the ceiling (on list) also a coat on all the walls and 2 undercoats on all the woodwork
So my only thing this week is to get that room finished and move into it next weekend so I can start our room the following week
Good luck

Morning all. Welcome to new challengers and big hugs for anyone feeling like they're struggling at the moment. Craftyc said that there are things on our lists that other people take for granted and that's so true - I'm certainly trying to get a grip on things that are out of control at the moment, but it's baby steps.
This week I'm a day late with my list! I've got a big work thing to do (I worked most of yesterday and I know I'm working late/on Saturday this week), so that 's my focus for the week, I'm just going to try and do a few small things in between (while the kettle's boiling).
So
work thing
declutter 7 things
cancel experian trial before they charge me
post ebay item to buyer
ring bank about card
take 1 bag to charity shop
Have a good week everyone
