10 yr old list nearly finished too, though turning out lights still needs a reminder every now and then.

Will post new list on sun for next week. Hope everyone getting on well and wishing better health to those who are sick.

    Hello,

Yesterday, finished the last "get it done" task which was the completion of removing parts from two old bicycles. So all four tasks were completed. This means my next two tasks are to put everything away and sort out the room that contained these old bicycles. Thirdly, to spend at least three hours sorting through old files.

Can I join in too please:

This week I am going to:

1: Start tracking my spending by keeping a log of all purchases made. EDIT; Have downloaded an App onto my phone for this purpose. EDIT. HAVE BEEN RECORDING ALL SPENDS ON PHONE

2: Look at ways of selling things, I have some clothes which are brand new and still have the labels on them which I could probably sell if I knew how to go about doing it.

3: Tidy my house up so it is in a more presentable state

4: Attempt to make it clear yet again to OH that he NEEDS to contribute financially if he is going to continue living in this house as I cannot single handedly continue to support myself, him, 3 children and 4 cats on my salary. EDIT: Have had the conversation with him this morning so we'll have to see if he keeps his word and lets me have some money by the end of the week as he has promised. EDIT: KEEP DOING THIS BUT NOT GETTING VERY FAR, STILL NOT A PENNY OUT OF HIM. I DESPAIR!!!!

5: Apply for a loan for a travel pass from work as this will same me money in the long term. Will do this on the 6th when I go back to work. EDIT: HAVE DONE THIS, FORM HAS BEEN COMPLETED, AUTHORISED, SCANNED, TRIPLICATE COPIES SAVED AND SENT TO HR BOTH BY E MAIL AND POST!!!!

6: Start taking my lunch to work.

Its been a very tough, stressful and upsetting week punctuated with problems caused by OH who is 77 and suffers from Dementia and children and I feel quite disappointed in myself that I haven't done everything I wanted to do however I did post a parcel back to Amazon and the refund has now been credited to my account, I also have claimed my money back from Topcashback and managed to get my QDOS Reward card working again, as well as negotiating a repayment plan with Wonga and PDUK ( Yes!!! I know I shouldn't have taken a loan out with them in the first place!!!!). I've also written to the bailiffs who are chasing OH for money he owes them advising that I have purchased everything in our home and can prove this, that I'm not responsible for his debts as am not actually married to him and that the tenancy of the house is in my name. Am terrified that they will take mine and the childrens belongings even though I can prove ownership of them and don't think I should be held responsible for his debts, am very, very upset over this. This week I will:

A: Take my lunch to work ( I really must start doing this)
B: Eat less, I have a tendency to binge when I am upset or stressed
C: Make sure that at the very least all minimums are paid on cards and that bills are up to date. I get paid on the 15th of every month so look at this as the start of the month from a financial point of view.
D: Sort out a budget of some kind for myself and set up standing orders to save with Credit Union
E: Return You View Box to Talk Talk and make sure they credit my account.
F: Look at another TV package, though I don't really want one, its more for the kids than myself. I've cancelled SKY as realised I couldn't afford it.
G: Try to get some money out of OH yet again, he has lost his bank card and claims his account has been emptied, might try and take a trip to the bank with him to get things sorted out if I can because I have no idea what is happening with his money or account and am sick and tired of supporting him financially.

G: Try to stop feeling so upset, nervy and stressed with myself and worrying so much.

Sorry for the moan and rant!!!! Am just feeling pretty down and depressed with myself at the minute I'm afraid.
loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!

Hi loobylou2 sorry you are having a tough time.

Don't feel you are failing at anything. you are doing your best.

I make my list very small for various reasons, then it is a near certainty to get done.

Howevever, in my diary I keep another list and if I get anything done on this list I see it as a bonus and feel better.

Please keep trying, many of us are probably only putting items on a list that most people take for granted and are able to do every day.

Don't beat yourself up about it we are all here because for various reasons we are not getting done what we would like to and feel that if we post it can help focus.

Hope your day gets better our electric is off so mine can only get better !
