I normally only really read the os board but I've found that I needed a new approach.
Had a pretty complex 2013. Have my own flat which needs a lot of work, and then bf moved in. Then had some health issues which have taken a lot out of me and have resulted in me having to start long term daily injections. (Woe is me). And essentially most of 2013 was a bit of a washout...:(
But! Decided that 2014 is time to stop letting it get to me and start learning to live with it.
Upshot is I'm needing a kick up the ar#e, I've been letting the washing slide, bathroom and general cleaning slide as well. Bf has been in a mancave for years b4 I came along. So even though he can clean he doesn't realise it needs to be done regularly :rotfl::rotfl:
It's complicated by my shiftwork days/night's gah!
Sooooooo after story
My weekly plan is:
To write a meal plan using what we have in freezer (and sticking to it)
Drink more water than fizzy juice
To not spend more than £20 on food this week
Clean bathroom
Tidy kitchen and living room before going to bed each night. (This one will be difficult as bf always in bed after me and when I get up there's a trail of destruction left behind!!)
Do Pilates video twice this week
Do two 15min cleaning challenges this week (got 4 night's this week so 2 should be enough to be getting on with)
So funny my husband has his own room the Man Cave for him and the dog complete with door sign!
Challenge him to join in My 10 yr old did I never believed until this morn mine would but after putting a list on fridge with a room of the week things to finish in kitchen and utility I came down to find a picture hung that was on list and sat on bench for a year! Good luck....:)0 -
Hello everybody,
On my list -
A new compost bin needs starting.
Send a homemade "thankyou" card.
Get a free hair cut.
Add more items for "bulky item collection" to save money and also to declutter.
It would be great to do these but not so easy as all my efforts/time for so long have been used elsewhere?0 -
Craftyc - yes I reckon his own mancave room is on the cards.once all the diying is done :-D
Also think putting the list on the fridge may work. Depends, he doesnt actually see what needs done like the dishes sitting in the wash bowl!! Think next wknd we shall have to sit down and discuss finances/saving for bathroom /cleaning rota type things.
(Next wknd as im nights 2night then a further 3 finishing friday morn. Will need a clear head for it I reckon!)0 -
