Fuming with marks and spencers - spoiled our Christmas Eve

I had a saga with Amazon, my hermes and dpd that lasted over a week and despite my efforts to prevent it, one of my parcels still ended up being delivered to a neighbour.
I stayed in for three days having been told the parcels were on their way and they weren't.
Yes its upsetting, but if it's ruined your Christmas you've allowed it to.0 -
Please, children are involved0

The OP is right to be annoyed at a late delivery, regardless of when the order was placed.
However, it sounds like everything came on time, it's just it went to an honest neighbour instead?0 -
what I find most odd is how one parcel gets delievered correctly, - yet another isn't.
A quick courtesy email or even the account updated then I could have changed delievery dates and made arrangements - lucky we had an honest neoghbour. May not have been so luckyxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
nearlyrich - I dont mean to be rude, but you don't know what myself and my daughter have been through, a damm lot and were still going through it, so whether its Christmas or a normal day its still a day where we have to try and cope.
Trust me, my daughter knows things dont run smoothly, so when the money has been spent, shall I go to the money tree at the bottom of the garden to get some more to get replacement presents??????
It was a gift for adults who presumably have the maturity to realise things sometimes don't go to plan,
Fifty three thousand people are still without electricity and thousands of others were flooded out. Perhaps a bit of a sense of proportion might make you realise what a truly ruined Christmas is,I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

And from watching the news none of them were moaning that Xmas had been ruined, they just got on with it and made the most they could. That really goes on to amaze how people can claim a shop ruined their Xmas!!0 -
Aren't these addresses printed by computer from the data the person ordering supplies
so really its a printing error or user error?
There's no manual intervention to slice a number offwhat I find most odd is how one parcel gets delievered correctly, - yet another isn't.

Which means likely a printing error0 -
If you bring your children up to make a drama out of a crisis, they'll not be well equipped to deal with a real tragedy.
I bet any of these families would do you a swap: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2013/dec/25/storms-christmas-misery-southern-england0 -
I think M & S did their best under the circs..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

I'm fuming yes and I think I have the right to be upset, I paid for a servicewanted to collect from store on Mon 23rd, - couldn't do that as some items weren't available, and I was offered free home delievery for the same date.
I'm sorry but I'm pedantic.
Now on a constructive note....perhaps a brief letter of complaint (and I say brief as it tends to yield a better result - long winded and the "message" gets lost in a sea of text) will elicit a goodwill gesture from them? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
