greentiger - I love the kids cards you made. I'd like to do one for my grandson 4yrs in June. And the anniversary card has given me ideas, I have some flowers to use up ;)

Florenceem - lovely bag, the fabric looks almost embroidered. Great idea :)

The curtain fabric is embroidered - it was expensive stuff.
I went with my DD and DIL to a shop that had more choice of curtain/upholstery fabric than I had ever seen. DD was buying curtain fabric for lounge/dining room/bedroom & landing windows. She bought some gorgeous fabrics - didn't once look at the price labels.
I was making up all the fabric into curtains - I certainly measured twice - cut once - in fact I measured lots of times. It was three years ago now but I think DD chose all embroidered fabrics. They are just beautiful and look fantastic in their barn conversion.

    Hello everyone

What lovely makes in here - I can't sew - can turn up my trousers and put on a button but thats it. But I can cross stitch so here is my latest work finished - a wee baby sampler for one of the girls at work.

    Baby stitch.

Wishing wages day will come so I can order the material and threads for Mums memory stitch - the designer recommends Au Ver a Soie but the cheapest I can find are £2.75 each and I need 18 - so I think I will be sticking with DMC - 40p each. Should look just as good with DMC I am sure. I will put some text at bottom in gold thread - but what is a good metallic to use - I have never really used any - so what do you recommend - DMC, Kreink, Maderia, etc?

Hope all are well, I am up and down but my stitching is helping me hide in a bubble and forget everything.

    Keep well everyone.

    sweetcarer ;)

    Busy bees again!

Flower of Scotland - you must be very pleased with how good your stitching looks in the frame. The little cushion is lovely.

sweetcarer - you live quite near me! That sampler is beautiful; what a lovely gift.

bmma - you have been very busy with your crochet and knitting. Those blankets look very cosy.

gosh march already and still only a third through my first project. The good news is it's by far the biggest and i was away with work most of January :D
Also the new wool shop is running a fortnightly knitting club and she's just taken stock of shuttles. You will notice one of my projects is to have a go at tatting :D
So quick update - 16 squares now knitted

Finally finished the memory quilt. I used a decorated fleece so that the back wasn't too plain. Hope this pic works. There are more on Flickr.

This is the February panel from my list. It's a little "rustic" - found the muslin very hard to keep straight, even in an embroidery hoop!

greentiger - I know I've said I'm not a major fan of crosstitch type things and sewing (even though I have a sewing machine lol) but I am loving your work......massively!!;):D You are inspiring me!!!

Time to tidy my craft room and move on from WBD costume bits. Need to do the dreaded HW before I start on a new make.
