14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie

Soulie, one of the regular posters on the crafting forum, started a popular thread called 13 Projects in 2013 where she encouraged us to set ourselves targets of craft projects to complete during the year. The suggested target was 13 but some people did more and others less. The important thing was the encouragement and motivation of posting achievements as well as the fun of seeing all the wonderful work people do.

Sadly Soulie lost her fight with the Big C but I am sure she would have approved of the fact that people continued to post on the thread.

So I have started this new thread for a similar challenge for 2014 in memory of Soulie. It's a small way to keep her legacy alive among her virtual friends as well as sharing her inspiration with people who never knew her at all.

This thread is also in memory of other much loved crafters who are no longer with us including:

So if anyone wants to join in please post a message listing your target projects for 2014. It doesn't have to be 14 at this stage (or at all). You can change and update your list as often as you like. The only "rule" I would like to suggest is that you post photos or links to photos of completed projects so that we can all admire them

Here are some general comments based on posts made by challengers:

1. There aren't any "rules" - these are just general guidelines
2. Any type of craft activity can be included
3. Target lists can be revised during the year as you change your mind or circumstances dictate
4. You don't need to have a list of 14 to start with - just list what you plan to do when you first join and then amend as you go
5. UFOs (unfinished objects), WiPs (works in progress) can be included - you don't have to start the item in 2014 for it to count
6. It's up to you how you calculate the 14 projects e.g. if you want to include "make all my Christmas cards" as one item that's fine. It's equally fine if you want to include each completed card as a project
7. Please add photos of your progress whenever you can. If you have a Flickr account use the "share your photo" function to add a photo into a message here by choosing the icon for email sharing (envelope). We also have our own Flickr group for photos of our 2014 projects http://www.flickr.com/groups/2489278@N21/
8. Don't stress - this is meant to be fun not a chore
9. Anyone can join at any time and as the year progresses it doesn't matter if you want to set.a lower target

I'll join, no idea what I will be making yet though. I tend to go with what I feel like making rather than plan ahead too much.
I think it's a lovely way to remember Soulie thanks for doing it flowerofscotland, I'm sure she would be pleased to see us all carrying on.
