I made some covered hangers - used a pack of 6 bought from £land - a while ago. The IKEA fabric was left over from making storage bags.

they look really pretty, and the buttons to stop garments falling off the hangers are a brilliant ideaSPC~12 ot 124

I saw the button idea on a blog somewhere. You can hook the clothes under the button or use them for the inside ribbon straps. I used two sizes of buttons on the hangers.mrs-moneypenny wrote: »they look really pretty, and the buttons to stop garments falling off the hangers are a brilliant idea0 -
Just a quick message I have managed finally to upload the astronaut costume I made for friend's son for his school's My Hero day. I totally agree with his choice and hope my creation from an old shower curtain fits the bill. (Photos on Flickr).0

carlamarie, I'm sorry to hear about your nan.
Florenceem, those hangers are lovely. I could be doing with some like that.
Wow, Granny, that costume is amazing!
I've just about finished my memory quilt - just binding on one side to finish, fingers were getting sore so I packed it in for the night. It'll be done tomorrow night. On a positive note, at my DIL's request, I did alter a SB quilt cover to fit a much smaller quilt. I discovered that the fabric wasn't cut on the true grain (not even close) and, to compound the horror of it all, that the seams on the original were as straight as a butterfly's flight path. So anyway, that's one thing done that wasn't on my list!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Finally finished the memory quilt. I used a decorated fleece so that the back wasn't too plain. Hope this pic works. There are more on Flickr.

Yesterday I was reminded about a Golden Wedding Anniversary that is happening this week . So today I made
the card - can post off tomorrow when glitter is dry. The Anniversary is not
until Friday - it is my eldest Daughter's In laws special day.
All materials from my stash.
Please excuse my messy craft table.
