Hello everyone
Sorry I have not been about much but have been stitching - finished an exchange card for Easter for one of the FB groups I am in.
It is an adapted DMC freebie and I used beads instead of french knots and threads I had hanging around (think they were Anchor).
Going to start a wee baby stitch - my usual wee teddy for one of the girls at work.
The wedding sampler, got a thank you from the groom but no official one - but the wedding is not for ages yet.
I have decided I am going to do the twisted band sampler in memory of my mum - it will be 4 weeks tomorrow and I can't stop crying during the night - sorry for being so maudlin. Dad is not showing us any affection but hes not that kind of guy but I am missing it and my sister is being really upsetting to me.
Here is the twisted band sampler for those who haven't seen it before, it uses a variety of stitches as well as cross stitch, though reading on the designers (brill girl, really helpful and talks to you) FB page she has designed it with just cross stitches.
Keep well everyone
sweetcarer
PS really like the aprons and the wee owl - so cute:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Gaaaah you would think, with an ankle injury I would be able to sit and do some stuff on my list, but no! Our palce is too small so I always have to move things to get to my stash or make room - so a little tricky right now, and I don't have the stuff I need and by the time it gets delivered I'll be back to being busy again
