Thanks for your kind words guys :AYou could make a whole range of "pretty but practical" jewellery made with fuse wire that can be dismantled in times of emergency - earrings, bracelets etc... I'm sure there's other "practical" items you could turn into pretty jewellery? Nails & screws perhaps? Or Alan Keys, can never find those bl**dy things when you need one :rotfl:
Yesss I'm liking this stylish, but practical range of jewellery, I could have earrings that are also little torches, a pendant that is also a penknife, and necklaces like Helen Mirren's in the film Red :T:T And call it the Jemima Bond range :rotfl::rotfl:

The beach apron is cheerful but I think I prefer the check one. I have a third apron half made. Last apron I am making - will have to decide - what to make next.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

flower of Scotland, thanks for the link to the ready cut binding. What a great idea - I'll keep that in mind for the future.
I finished the top of the quilt this evening, so I'm off tomorrow to find some backing. I'm leaning towards fleece. I used this to back a quilt I have in the living room and it is so comforting to snuggle into. Still haven't decided on a binding colour, that will come when Ihave the backing.
I also finished stitching the February panel I started this time last year, then tidied away and forgot about. There's not much to it, only a few hours work altogether. I've just got the crayon colouring to do. I'll take it tomorrow too and get a frame, hopefully.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Loving everyones' creativity.
Extra round of applause to Savvy & Roz_V for their creative writing. M became a woman, it is about time Q did too.
At present I am wrangling with an astronaut & hopefully will be able to provide photographic evidence of that by the weekend.0 -

savvy - love the sea glass wrap. Great idea to use silver wire though - I believe silver has anti-bacterial properties so where it touches your skin is protected. Your wraps would become talismans.0
