savvy - I'm blushing :o Thank you for the kind words.

mrs-m, the tulips are lovely. You get through so many things you must be a very quick worker.

florence - you're another project-a-holic. I don't think I could bear to use those tea towels, they are so pretty!

Going slowly, but I've added a squirrel to the Flickr group. I need to get faster if I am going to keep up with everyone on here!
The squirrel has been sent off to Cumbria to take part in the Woollen Woods art installation at Sizergh Castle - hopefully he will be sitting on a branch outdoors for several months up there.

Have been missing in action for some time, but the knitted cushion cover is finished and is an failure.......it is a bit too big for the pad and the pad slips around inside it. Buttons too small so pop out of the button holes. Both solvable, but I was a bit disheartened.
Various botanical watercolours done on course, varying degrees of success, but as i had never used watercolours before I am quite happy with them as examples of learning a new technique.
Jumper nearly finished......should get finished this weekend I think. I bought myself some new trousers yesterday (I HATE shopping, so this is a very rare event) and the jumper's colours are going to look great with them.
Not much time for craftyness today, but tomorrow afternoon is currently earmarked for something creative.
Savvy, sorry to hear about your ankle injury, hope it gets better soon.

savvy - sorry to hear of your ankle, hope it improves soon at least to become bearable. And your dog too, poor thing!

florenceem - what a lovely tea towel :) A sneaky idea occurred to me- to do your embroidery in white on black background, and position it so that it just covers one of the larger flowerheads. But I've no idea where you would get plain black fabric, white is so much easier to come by.

mrs-moneypenny - your tulips look lovely and you are so quick at cross stitch. :)

Good idea but although I have some black poly cotton - I use pure cotton for stitching on. I have been sorting out a storage bin today and found more white vintage sheeting.

I have amended my list of 14 in 2014.
I have stitched - Redwork on to a tea towel - another part of a Christmas present ready. I used a vintage kitchen image and stitched in black to match the tea towel. I bought the tea towel in Paperchase - during a sale of course.
I have done frayed edges on this one - I backed the old cotton sheet that I stitched on with some interfacing. I will do stitched edges on the next tea towel - what do you think is best?

This looks great and far too nice to use :D

Does your sewing machine do fancy stitches? I use the blanket stitch on my machine for applique on things that are going to be washed quite often as I think it is more hard wearing than hand stitching
