Aww thanks, the doggy has been very weird since her dental work on Thursday.......it's been flipping hard work with her :(

Sooooo all I've managed to do.... is collect more seaglass :o:(:(
Arrrggg, looks like she's having a phantom pregnancy straight after having had her dental op........who'd have thought hey :(

So needless to say..........all I;ve done today is collect more seaglass :o But also some slate and a clay pipe!!! :j
    finished another of my projects
this one has been two fold, i stitched a panel to see what the chart would turn out like i want to do for my sister, and add a 'bit more' to the cushion.
i was a bridesmaid for my aunt (who was also my god mother)
ive got enough left to make a small keepsake cushion for myself.

That's a really clever idea, I'd always thought about making a duvet cover from the lads' t-shirts. I saw one in America back in 2000 and fancied the idea........yessss that's how long it takes me to get round to new things :rotfl:(there's always more important things to make myself do!) but this idea is awesome - I would never have thought about it!

    Hello all,

I am here, all I seem to do is stitch, sleep and work. Would be nice do it in that order lol.

Love the cushion, sometimes I wonder if I should turn some of my stitches into cushions but I can't sew and the cat probably attack them.

I have been working on my learning sampler and finished part 6 - this just involved some satin stitch at the edges and the letters are all done in cross stitch - you can see all the purples used from light to dark (F-K), though the F is quite pale.

    109_1205_zpsef06c9d0.jpg

Now onto part 7 which involves square rhodes stitch, round rhodes stitch and diamond rhodes stitch.

I am thinking of making up a wee album with all the new stitches - with instructions and wee examples stitches beside the explanation - like a wee self help book.

    Keep well everyone,

    sweetcarer ;)

owl fan - I really like that wee squirrel. We have a big fat grey one who visits every day. I have rarely seen a red one, sadly.

mrs-moneypenny - your cushion is beautiful, I'm sure your mum will really appreciate the thoughts behind it.

sweetcarer - a gorgeous sampler; I wish I had the patience for this

Today I made a sleeve for my laptop. I think I have enough left to make a matching tote bag to carry it in along with its cables, mouse etc., although I will probably have to buy some lining fabric.

I also made a St Patrick's Day card (last of the cards needed for March). I am managing to handle the muslin a bit better now.

I haven't hand sewn the stitched cotton patch to the tea towel - it is machine stitched. Just the embroidery was done by hand.
I have a fancy stitch sewing machine. I will have a go at using blanket stitch thanks.

Sorry I didn't mean that I thought you had attached your piece by hand - it's just that I have done quite a lot of applique work (such as the little cushion I finished last week) which is all done by hand and I was trying to explain that I use the sewing machine for items that will be used rather than just decorative

oh that looks lovely bmma, very nice.

spent this morning making bunting for the school sensory garden i made a run of 16 triangles using some scraps of curtaining fabric in assorted patterns that had floral patterns on. i took it into school before thinking about photoing it but it wasnt one of my 14 projects just a way of using some scraps up.
