to have kids with an abusive man is to not be happy with the open grave you're already lying in and so arrange for 20 tonnes of fresh cement to be poured straight in, as you smile and think "it won't hurt, can't get any worse....."

Wow. And youve started a thread elsewhere commenting that the world isnt a compassionate place?

Do you really think that someone who is as controlling and abusive as this to the OP would be a decent father?

and this is from your 'Frustrated' thread,

I want a family of my own, I want to get married. I'm shy and socially anxious so the only way I can meet someone is online. I have tried for years and it's just led to disappointment.

so would you be happy being treated as the OP is, would you have children with him?

I guess none of you understand sarcasm

Your comment was unnecessary, even if it was a sarcastic response

And sarcasm isnt whats needed on this thread, the OP need support.

I'm all for supporting people in difficult situations, but why would anyone with any common sense or sense of self need to come here and ask if his behaviour is okay or not?

How do you think people get into abusive relationships? "Oh, I know, I'll put up with this person treating me like rubbish, and I get a few wallops too, hooray!"

Low self esteem, being charmed and then ground down at slowly, and so on are often how people like this work their "magic".

There'd be no need for organisations like Women's Aid if abusive relationships were that obvious or that easy to avoid/get out of.

The same as you with your great deal of common sense and sense of self coming on here several times to say you are getting nowhere but want a baby to make it alright.
