Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

I do. I think the ones that leave abusive relationships are more courageous than the ones that stay and just accept it and allow themselves to become victims.
I have a strong feeling of seeing that post before somewhere, almost word for word. I bet someone else remembers it.

Naya, due the controlling nature of this man, I think you need help to rid your life of him and as some posters have suggested phone "Women's Aid" for advice on how to do it. It may involve a friend being with you or maybe you have things of his to be returned. Whatever it is please think it through first and phone WA who will advise you.

To suddenly cut such a controller from their life without proper advice concerns me.

Reminds me of a poster who was banned for constantly starting provocative threads on discussion time.

Look at the last posts where you all argue with a troll. How does that help the OP?.
  • He is a monster! And he will ruin your whole life if you let him. Please get leave him and never speak to him again. Change your number if necessary. It could be a hard break up as these controlling types go mad when they don't have the power anymore but don't let him weaken your resolve. He will never change and you will be so so much better off without him! Good luck and I wish you all the best! x

The OP has had lots of excellent advice, some from people who have been through similar experiences, so hopefully she can take that on board and I truly wish her all the best in moving on.

So you reckon Arose's numourous nasty posts ARE of help to the OP then? No, I didn't think so. Ok, mine wasn't either, but it was truthful.
