What do childfree people think about christmas. Do you ever feel your missing out on the santa stuff and magic of christmas for kids etc. The exciting xmas eve waiting for santa.
No. If I do want that again, I know plenty of children.
What do people with small children think about New Year's Eve?
Do you ever feel you're missing out on the grown up fun of staying out all night, getting drunk, partying with friends without having to pay for a babysitter and get up in time to feed your kids their rice krispies on the 1st?0 -
I'm child-free by choice. Never been in a long-term relationship where having kids was part of the picture and NEVER wanted to bring up a child/children on my own. I have friends who chose to do that and I wouldn't change places with them for a million pounds. Much too hard. I suspect I'd have made a lousy mother in any case. Too many issues.
My Ma had five grand-children to coo over, cosset and spoil and that should be enough for anyone.0 -

That's what Grandparents are for!
Though to be fair New Years Eve is a nightmare to have a night out on, much better in my opinion to have some friends round and a few drinks then waste money on overpriced alcohol in pubs.0 -
Strangely as a CFBC person, I hate NYE. I went out last year to a party for the first time since Millenium Eve and I'm not doing it again this year..... awful.
Give me Xmas any day! :j0 -

I think you may have missed my point slightly there.0 -

It was just a light hearted reply, nothing more!0 -
I don't understand...What business is it to anyone if someone chooses not to procreate? I really, really don't get it. I would find it extremely rude if someone decided to probe me about what I do with my reproductive organs. Thankfully, it's never happened beyond the casual "so do you have kids" question - because they would get told where to go in no uncertain terms!0

On the subject of pets as a "replacement" I have a kitten and make a conscious effort not to go on about it as i know how fed up i get of seeing peoples babies and baby updates.
I don't need to know you changed their smelly bum! I didnt tell you I emptied my kittens litter tray.0 -
I don't get it either but believe me, people do probe. And quite obviously and rudely, too. Perhaps I should tell anyone upon first meeting that I'm a lesbian and then they would mind their own damned business!0
