Surprised no ones asked for proof.
There are a few people that are taking the internet and avoiding questions to assist in their vent as srs buzinez

I like this thread. I wonder what Tesco has said. I assume the OP's managed to contact them by now. What a disappointing end to the story if they've been incredibly apologetic, have arranged a further delivery today and given him vouchers for his trouble and inconvenience."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I have always said that it is not what happens if things go wrong, it is how they are dealt with when they go wrong - by both the company and the individual.
What threads like this (and the hilarious one about ringing a doorbell after 18:30) show me, is that many in the UK struggle to handle even the most minor and trivial of problems without blowing everything out of proportion. I fear that such people would self destruct if they ever had to deal with a major issue.
I do hope people keep posting these sort of threads because they give us all a good laugh down the pub.35, semi retired, sun, sand, sea, life is good

This thread is a perfect example of how things can get terribly out of hand when someone has a complaint. On other parts of the site when someone has a problem then they get sympathy and advice. I was shocked when I saw how several posters laid into Fella. Posters whom I never see offering advice elsewhere, people who are new to me.
As Fluff correctly observed it isn't my normal style to be rude to people or lay into anyone. It was a measure of my disgust that I did. I added four to my ignore list, people whose posts I never want to see again and whom I suspect just come into this forum to troll.
I'm gladdened by the fact that a few sensible people came in after I had left and added a few sensible comments. Just the sort of thing I expect from MSEers.
I hope one or two have learned a lesson from this. Observe the forum rules and etiquette and be nice to people.
Fluff, thanks for your concern.Jim_Jupiter wrote: »Could you be specific?
Jim I'd gone by the time you posted this reply. I could have been more specific but I guess it doesn't matter now. I've made my feelings known. I don't think OP was treated very well by you guys. You weren't the worst by a long chalk and I may have been unfair by lumping you in with the rest of them. Your constant query about times was suspicious though because it seems that you were going to take issue if the delivery driver was only 5 minutes late. You had some comment in mind anyway - that's me being cynical btw so sorry if you didn't. At any rate, you've seen my opinion. The OP was treated badly by some posters and I backed him up. It was awful to see the way others were having a go when they should have been offering advice. Even if the thread title was a bit OTT - that could have been sorted.
Anyway: I fell out with enough people last night, by choice, and I think my judgement was sound. I'm glad I didn't fall out with you and I hope to see you around.0 -
Fella, I'm trying to send you a PM. Can you make some space in your inbox please?0

In retrospect, it's quite clear some that what some people have posted is motivated by the fact I said it was champagne I ordered. Didn't even occur to me that was a factor when I wrote the OP, I was just relating facts. But it's obvious from some of the responses i.e. stuff about Cava & champagne parties etc etc that some of the people on here are secretly delighted that someone who ordered a bunch of champagne has been inconvenienced etc.
You're spot on though, it's turned out to be an easy way to identify some unpleasant characters & bung them on ignore.0 -
I've been using ocado, they let you know if there is going to be anything missing from your order before they deliver.0

No-one has commented on the main problem: the quality of the wine.0

Didn't know the type had been mentioned.0
