Before I tell you, what helpful bit of advice are you planning on giving me if I do? Just want to make sure you're not simply asking so you can disagree there's anything wrong with them being late you understand.
In the meantime, I look forward to anyone on here actually addressing the fact that Tesco didn't even bother to tell me they'd cancelled part of the order. Or the fact that they're uncontactable. Bit tricky that though, since it's indefensible, so far easier to just keep on ignoring it & defend other aspects of their dreadful service.0 -
Every single person who's posted has defended Tesco, who have delivered abysmal service. All I've done is reiterated how bad the service was.
I have no time for passive-aggressive morons who like to have sly little digs on bulletin boards then whine when they get anything other than a friendly reply in response.
And I notice you conveniently ignored when I asked you what helpful advice you were intending to give me, quelle surprize.
What advice do you actually want?
The champagne has not turned up. You're not getting the champagne.
When you finally get in touch with tesco they're just going to apologise. You're basically just wasting your time.
You should just let it go and find another 6 bottles from somewhere else.

Well I certainly will not be avoiding Tesco wine having just bought (in store) 6 bottles of Kumala Shiraz for about £16 for the lot. ( 2 for £10 offer and 25% taken off). As for online orders, sometimes things do go wrong and items are missing from order. Tesco normally refund no problem/ I remeber last time I did not receive the bananas I ordered, but before i got round to complaining to T The driver came back and delivered them as they slipped out of the crate. No big deal! Did you intend to drink all 18 bottles today? If not you have plenty of time to get a refund for the missing bottles. Cheers0

Have they confirmed it is cancelled, or is the rest of the order still to follow?
The driver said they were out of stock & that part was cancelled. I still haven't been able to get in touch with Tesco themselves. What advice do you actually want?

Very few things cause me hassle.
I accept this is the rants board but you've mentioned you were after advice so I just wondered what advice you were after!
I think very few people would be put off using tesco based on your experience. It doesn't seem like it's been that bad. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I see the mob's at work again.
A poster reports poor service and gets savaged for it.
I thought the title was a bit over the top but after reading what happened I certainly wouldn't order wine from Tesco online. Not because they made a mistake in the delivery but because the OP can't contact them by e-mail or telephone to have the matter corrected.
Thanks for posting the warning Fella. I'm with you all the way on this one.0 -

No I never said I wanted advice, I asked what advice a poster was intending to give me if I gave him further details. I asked this to illustrate a point because it was blatantly obvious he wasn't intending to give any.
If someone isn't put off using Tesco that's fine, they now have the information they need to make an informed choice. As I said before if I knew Tesco advertised items as in stock & confirmed that by email, then simply didn't deliver them without letting me know or explaining why, or being contactable afterwards, I wouldn't have used them.0 -
Still avoiding the "how late were they?" question then?
Considering your intention is to inform people of Tesco's service I'd imagine this detail would have been very useful.0
