It was such a nice day yesterday I made a salad as had a bag of leaves to use, with a y.s. goats cheese and a small ball of Wensleydale cheese, both well past use by but delicious. A few leaves left and my homemade coleslaw, but will have the lamb dinner from Sunday today. I will boil a few eggs as have plenty and may have the salad as a lighter meal somewhere.
Do I need it or just want it.

I got a turkey pie out (in the freezer from just after Christmas) and we had that with fridge (wonky) carrots. I also made a poor man's trifle - just choc chip brioche rolls with orange jelly and custard - all from store cupboard. Frozen chilli out and consumed Sunday and two more double portions of fridge soup ready for lunches this week.

  • I am going to try and eat out of my cupboards and freezer as much as possible once I get back from holiday in Barcelona. My cupboards and freezer are both pretty well-stocked thankfully. I'm going to set myself a budget of £10 a week (I'm a singleton). Any tips and suggestions, please?

I'm not overly sure that this constitutes an out, more of a change.

Robertson's make your own marmalade has been turned into 5 big jars of marmalade.

I've opened a jar, and will give one each to our mum's tomorrow. And one for my aunt who has had a fall.

I also used the other jar of mincemeat to make another cake.
  • Ready made quiche shells in cupboard so will turn into ham & egg, cheesy large of several small quiches to put into freezer, sort of out and in system.
