  • 1 marg tub of some sort of mince out for tonight, have to buy potatoes of some sort today otherwise I will use chips. Took last 5 mini pork pies out of freezer and into fridge so can have one every now and then. Moved full pack of frozen blueberries from pantry freezer to kitchen to replace used up one so will replace that today, I have on porridge every morning. Trying to use pre-prepared (by me) stuff from freezers before starting on the "fresh" meat and fish because when I cook some mince etc it ends up having about 2 portions going back in.

I turned a bag of cooked chicken and gammon into a pasta bake with a basic cheese sauce for lunch this afternoon.

As with all things "off the cuff", it was devoured and declared delicious by all.

Did a complete freezer check, 3 miscellaneous bags which I will eat through today, save me cooking as had a long painful ear procedure yesterday, so little sleep and feeling sorry for myself.

OUT yesterday during stock take, pork hock for tomorrow, sister visiting and her O.H. will not eat green veg or anything called stew, so she enjoys those type of meals with me, and 2 very sad looking pork chops for me today. Trying to use all my "daily" meats up for a visit to the butchers, then I will try to buy just a month or so worth to stop things languishing in the freezer, losing texture and taste.

Lost my way for far too long but now back on board to lead a more simplistic lifestyle

Not been posting for a while, had a 10 day break in Norfolk at my friends, few things out, I did buy 2 y.s. packs of pork shoulder steaks, ate 1 yesterday, and a y.s. pack of streaky slices, but did need both, tidied freezer up and very happy with the spaces I can see.
    resuming from here,
    OUT 2 chicken legs.

  • Well, am having to have salads as bought fresh produce but am also trying really hard to eat out of freezers, bought new 2ns hand one but just managed to put stuff into it so 2 full freezers and one with just a very little space so must not do anything in SC as that just makes more to put back. Have put a box in other room with some packets and tins as a Just In Case store following Brexit, Not lots of stuff but a few bits and pieces instead of putting in the cupboards.
