    IN 2 packs bacon bits,
Bought some Lidl cooking bacon, sorted out the usable rashers, all the bits left I portioned into 2 and froze for use as lardons.

  • Along with the 2nd half of h/m chick curry I put in a few days ago I have now added 2nd half of sausage casserole from yesterday, am making aubergine pasta dish tonight (will half go in freezer, not sure if it will freeze well) and a sausage shepherds pie, will no doubt portion up and some for tomorrow, the rest for freezer. I did use half a pkt of YS casserole veg for the casserole and some lentils in there too and of course I will use some of the loads of various pasta shapes some not all one way traffic. Oh and I did have a choc ice the other day.

I have a lot of rice to use up. I also have quite a lot of chicken, Turkey and ham (including two mixed bags) so I will make a fried rice next week.

The other mixed bag will go through pasta with a bechamel sauce. to be topped with cheese.

And also a few tins of salmon and salad tuna. I'm not sure what to do with the tinned salmon, but the tuna will go towards my daughter's school lunches after Easter.

I'm getting there, the cupboards are emptying and, though I'm starting to get a bit anxious as that's not how I was brought up, it makes sense to not buy and store loads only to have to move it in (hopefully) a few weeks anyway.

Although, saying that... I am adding 800g of Chinese flava glaze as my mum, sister and I went thirds on a pail of it :A

    OUT frozen curry meal,
at last donated by a neighbour who thought it too hot, I don`t eat these usually but kept it for emergency, or like yesterday, something quick and easy.

  • 1/2 bag frozen casserole veg, oxo, some v.old herbs (nearly finished off) all in SC to make pot of soup (done in SC as I am lazy today). Taken 2 spicey chicken potyions from freezer for dinner will do with sprouts and chestnuts (bought Xmas time as I really like and they only seem to have them at that sort of time) and chips I think. Sounds a biy odd maybe and dd would be horrified but she is very recipe orientated but theres only me. Of the 3 meals I made during the week, one portion of two of them and 2 of the third one have gone into the freezer tardis, finished off bag of blueberries this brekkie so next one has been moved from pantry freezer to kitchen one to start tomorrow. Found out a couple of packets and want to use them, one is for chicken portions but I only have turkey ones so will use them, it will make 4 servings so guess what !!!! The other is for something with mushrooms which I need to use before they go wrinkly so thinking cap on. I used up the last of a pack of red lentils in one of previous meals so now using from the 2pt milk re-used storage bottle, I find them handy to keep pulses and pasta in so they do not end up over kitchen floor.
