Thank goodness for the freezers - they are my inanimate friends :j

I came home from hospital yesterday after spending time having a knee replaced. I knew I'd be on a couple of crutches for a few weeks and unable to function probably.
So homemade meals for a couple of weeks all ready in the freezers. They just need defrosting and sticking in the microwave.

    Freezers are great :T:T

Hooray, you are back! I nearly posted you a message yesterday and then I thought I should give you a chance to rehab from your knee surgery. "See you" over on the green-fingered threads too...

I too love my freezers but have had new knee and both hips done so planned ahead each time,

me too, two ceramic hips, one knee the other to be done in the not too distant future and an open heart jobbie last year. I'm going for the 'bionic' look :D:D:D I am grateful that some things can be mended this day and age. Life is worth living
  • zafiro1984 well done. I need other knee done but am hesitant, told dd last week that as long as I can manage then I do not really want another operation, feel I am getting a bit too old to cope with the whole after thing and as long as the pain killers keep me going I want to hang on. Thank goodness I have nothing else wrong with me - other than being fat and diabetic. Good luck with future bionicness.

  • I’ve been freezer drawer diving for a few weeks now and am thrilled to be making real progress. This thread got me back on track.

We grocery shopped today and restocked on a few things we use all the time.
Also: bok choy, baby Bella’s, purple onions, and ON SALE asparagus.
This will be used along with selected Asian sauces I have in the fridge and pantry for a stir fry later this week.

Bad me bought 3 sea salt dark chocolate bars.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

  • Using SC so have taken chicken breasts from freezer, adding chroizo from fridge, red pepper and onion from veg drawer, rice from cupboard plus the little portion of chilli sauce l/o from a ready meal I had last night. Seasoning are all in cupboard so is a real using up meal.
