I bought loads of pregnancy tests & OPK off the internet last year, thinking 'there is no way I'll need all of these!' ....
I am close to running out of the Pregnancy tests
I suppose that will happen when you test on CD24 onwards :rotfl: 0 -
PM: Hugs for your BFN's. Fingers crossed you have a shy bean nestling in.
I remember reading about a girl from Hollyoaks who married a millionaire. She decided they wanted children and have IVF straight away without trying naturally and having no known problems. She just wanted the baby straight away. Am I the only one who thinks that's weird?
I had a conversation with my hubby about what we'd do if we won £20k on the lottery...his first thought was buy a new car...guess what mine was LOL!
danielley: I went down the either or route for baby shower/birth of the baby, but combining it with a Body Shop party is pushing it a bit. Are you crafty at all (in the homemade sense of course). Could you make something for the birth?
AFM (Aunt Flo Mucus LOL), I'm on day 6 (already) of down-regging, and so far it's going ok. The injections are more itchy than painful, and I've not had any side effects so far.
Can I ask an embarassing question of the ladies that have already been through this? I was wondering on my drive home last night whether you have to *ahem* remove the foliage Down There for egg collection? I nearly fell off the chair when they casually mentioned they go throught vaginal wall to collect the eggs!0 -
Danelley I don't normally test as there's no point but once ov was confirmed and a good few days later I started testing. I don't even know what cd I'm on,started this cycle in aug.
Derby sorry I don't know the answer to your q.0 -
There's Femara (similar to clomid) and there's injectables (FSH).Does anyone know of any other medication they may suggest? Or is Clomid the only option on the NHS?
No need to shave down there, or anywhere:pwhether you have to *ahem* remove the foliage Down There for egg collection? I nearly fell off the chair when they casually mentioned they go throught vaginal wall to collect the eggs!
If one ov's fine, then IVF without drugs is possible, but you can't get many eggs for obvious reasons.codemonkey wrote: »I seem to remember someone on here had IVF without the drugs (QQ maybe). Don't know how it works or if it'd be suitable for you. Just thought I'd mention it.0 -
Derby, I did, I wouldn't have felt comfortable otherwise

derby - I just tidied up a bit. Nothing extreme, just what I'd usually do for a date lol! It's been so long since OH went anywhere near that things tend to get a bit overgrown
:rotfl:.
ETA: on ET day I felt so ill I didn't even shave my legs (very unlike me). Was past caring by that point. Then when I got to the hospital I felt a bit better and was very aware of my stubbly legs lol.0 -

What do you mean through the vaginal wall????
Yes, electing for IVF before trying naturally is very odd, especially as it is hardly a walk in the park!
Part Mouse I forgot about your long cycle, big hugs, I will keep everything crossed for you.
Thank you for the information QQuaver. I have received my appointment letter today and December FS appointment is cancelled and I am in next Wed (30th) so I will see what they say then.0 -
Another thought about clomid and suitability for IVF. I know it varies massively from place to place but I've found with clomid most people get a couple of scans at most, then maybe a 7dpo blood test.
Generally, you're monitored a lot more closely throughout with IVF. I had scans and blood tests every other day through the whole stimms process. So if you were over-responding, they'd be aware of it pretty much straight away and would know how to deal with it.0
