Lisa, I don't know anything about IVF, sorry. 9 cycles sounds like a lot to me but if you feel like you can go through it again and you really want to then go for it.
Hugs to everyone else who needs it.
I had my gynae appointment with a very nice doc. I'm not getting a hysterectomy - hurrah!
However, I am having a myomectomy. It's a pretty big op where they open me up cesarean-style and remove the fibroids surgically. He said I could be out of action for up to 8 weeks!!!! - really not happy about that one. Half of me is dreading it and the other half is happy that something is actually happening. I'm just holding on the the possibility that pregnancy is possible afterwards. If only they could give a cast-iron guarantee!
Please don't worry about fibroids. They are very common. A myomectomy is a biggish operation but again fairly standard. You will certainly be up and about in a week or so. Women are made of tough stuff!!
And hopefully, you will get your happy ending - I have a toddler and baby to prove it!!0 -
Woohoo RG, what a haul! Keep an eye out for ohss with those numbers. Have everything crossed for a great fertilisation result.
Best of luck for everyone else, and a big hug for pm xx.0 -

Hugs Tea, the hormones really get to us sometimes. I cry at adverts all the time, except baby stuff ones, which just make me mad! Any sign of AF showing up yet so you can get going with this cycle?
PM - I second Tea's '!!!!!! NHS' dance for you. hope you got a good nights sleep last night.
RG - how you feeling today, tender I would imagine! Let us know how jiggy your eggs got!
Frozen/Fairy - how you ladies getting on?
CNH - hope the surgery works for you, sounds painful though. Honestly, the things we need to go through.
AFM - scan this morning showed 14 follies, all decent sizes (think the biggest was 17mm) so 1) we're looking good for EC on Monday or Tuesday depending on bloods and 2) Tea thank you very much for the egg dance, its been working! Nurse said I'd not been back to the unit for another scan, just straight to EC!
EEEKKK I can't believe its so soon, I was thinking Wednesday! I'd taken Wed, Thur, Fri off work, so I'll need to invent a reason to change that.
Now, can we invent a 'Come on follies, keep on growing' dance? I imagine it to have some moves like Saturday Night Fever :rotfl:0 -
RG – yay, 20 eggs is amazing! :j
Hope you don’t feel too bad, take it easy xxx
Tia – I had a scan for PCOS, it was about 18 months ago but I think it was done about a week after the end of AF. I had an external ultrasound first then had dildocam. The procedure is all okay, nothing to be worried about.
SewIt/Fairy – how are you two? Stims are going okay for me, I’ve done 3 jabs so far (luckily without managing to mess up the second and third ones). Hoping the rest of the jabs will be not too bad as well. 14 follies sounds excellent SewIt! Good luck for next week!
Quick question – on scan days they’ve told me not to do the injection until after the scan in case they need to up the dosage. Do they tend to want you to do the jab straight after the scan or just at some point later in the day? (trying to plan scans and injections around being away from home all day for my mum’s birthday next week)
Hugs to everyone xxx (and hope no-one has been washed away in the floods and storms)0 -

No. CD37 and not even spotting yet. This will be my longest cycle for at least 6 months. Don't even feel like it's on its way anymore - yesterday had what seemed suspiciously like EWCM. What is going on??
Feel a bit left behind and sorry for myself. Obviously I am beyond excited for you all and I really, really want you all to get your BFPs soon.... just thought I'd be with you.
Patience has never been my strong point. We got the go-ahead for this in October and still haven't even started yet!
Also had a dream last night that the hospital called and said the results of OH's latest SA were completely normal. Was v disappointed when I woke up and realised that hadn't happened. Now, can we invent a 'Come on follies, keep on growing' dance? I imagine it to have some moves like Saturday Night Fever :rotfl:
Have you been watching me?? :rotfl:.
ETA: FP - I did injections about 6pm. They usually phoned me with the blood results about 3pm.0 -
