I'd ring your DH Hun and get to A&E. Bleeding for this long is definitely not normal and they need to sort something out!
    You'll be exhausted!
  • Pm. That sounds terrible. I really think you need to get some help. Is your oh working? Is there someone else that could drive you?

Oh PM I wish I could make it go away for you, that really is terrible. I hope you get it sorted soon. Is there a walk in centre or equivalent nearby?

    I have a quandary ladies!!

There is going to be a delay with the surrogacy, not sure how long as of yet but it is something that can't be helped.
OH said why don't we just try again? We can afford to, and are able to with regards to work etc (he works for himself and I work for him)
I just don't know what to do tho!! After 9 tries it hasn't worked, ok one ectopic and one chemical and the amount of meds I take per cycle is ridiculous for immune suppressants and thick blood etc. and I admit to getting horribly wrung out over the 2ww and testing to the point of obsessiveness but a big part of me says, give it a go, why not. We could start again in just over a month (day 25 today) leaving enough time to get my endometrium scratch done and prepare.
What would you do ladies? X

PM - wish I could offer you more than just virtual hugs lady! Did you get to see a dr/nurse last night? Has the bleeding eased at all?

Lisa - ooohhh, that is a tough one! Would you being doing anything differently this cycle or would it be the same as the others? When you say 9 cycles, its is 9 fresh IVF or does that include FET? My thoughts are (and these really are only my thoughts) that if there was something different about the cycle (different meds, adding the scratch for the first time) and if you feel you can cope emotionally and physically then it might be worth considering another go. If there is nothing different, then I would be less likely to go for it as I would feel I was treading the same path. Is it worth getting an appointment with a different clinic to get their opinion?

There is a point that we will all come to when we have to say enough is enough but that point is different for all of us. If you feel you have already reached that point and come to terms with not carrying a child, then could you go back to all the hope/despair/stress/highs and lows that we all experience on a daily basis? I feel that I am not being very helpful here, just adding more questions! Sorry, I hope the above has been helpful in some way.

Fairy/Frozen - how are stimms going?
RG - is egg collection today? good luck if it is!!

Tia - I've not had a scan for PCOS, sorry can't advise!

AFM - all doing ok here, am still fed up with injections and today I had to start the horrible nasal spray, which I HATE so much! Back at the hospital for first scan tomorrow, wish me luck for lots of follies please!

Tea - have you been donning the silver suit and egg dancing? Please do a wee burst tonight if you can, as I think that Fairy is back tomorrow for a scan too??

Lisa a very touch one, not having been down IVF myself yet I would be inclined to agree with sewit it but it really comes down to which you feel is best.

Sewit I took some codine and went to sleep last night, totally drained today. The nurse from my gp called back and said they can't do a smear whilst I'm bleeding and to come in when I'm not.my referral should have gone to the hosp yesterday so I'm waiting to be seen there.i just hope it comes through soon. I feel really tired and breathless today and still very much bleeding.

Wishing you lots of luck for lots of lovely follies.
  • PM I hope you're ok. Surely they can't leave you to bleed like this? Hugs

Lisa, I don't know anything about IVF, sorry. 9 cycles sounds like a lot to me but if you feel like you can go through it again and you really want to then go for it.

Hugs to everyone else who needs it.

I had my gynae appointment with a very nice doc. I'm not getting a hysterectomy - hurrah!
However, I am having a myomectomy. It's a pretty big op where they open me up cesarean-style and remove the fibroids surgically. He said I could be out of action for up to 8 weeks!!!! - really not happy about that one. Half of me is dreading it and the other half is happy that something is actually happening. I'm just holding on the the possibility that pregnancy is possible afterwards. If only they could give a cast-iron guarantee!
