Cnh ouch. I really hope the surgery helps even though I'm sure you would rather not have it. The uncertainty of ttc is one of the Hearst bits IMO, if we're only knew it would happen in x amount of time it would make the journey so much easier.
I'm not sure who's going to deal with this bleeding or even when.i hope 3 provera a day work.0 -
Argh my gp has marked my referral as routine and not urgent. How is it routine? Just trying to get it changed now.its looking like its going to be weeks before it even gets to the new hosp.0

Hi all posted this in the other thread but think it's better off here hope someone can explain
Hi all hoping some of you can shed some light on this cause i can't get my head around it
Me and the oh have been trying for around 3-3.5 years now we have been under the hcu for a while my oh started on clomid 3 months ago due to low levels
1st month 1 pill 1st 5 days after period (level 28)
2nd month 2 pills (level 12)
Now we have just had results off 3 pills and her level is 70 this month but they didn't really explain much
Now we normally get results off the receptionist but they said this month a nurse will call you back and she did say you may be pregnant so our heads are all over the show2010 Super League Grand Final Winners :beer:0 -
Hi Wigan,
I've been on clomid, the same as your OH.
First month -1 pill, level was 4,
Second month 2 pills level was 40
Third month 3 pills level was 2
Basically they are measuring the level of progesterone in your OH's blood. You need progesterone to both get pregnant and stay pregnant.
I don't ovulate on my own and was told they were looking for a result over 50 to confirm ovulation.
They say 30 is good for a "normal person" but they want 50 or more for clomid people.
So I'd say 70 was a really good result. Regarding being pregnant, what cycle day is she on? Surely a first response early result would work now, she she's got to be about day 28ish?

She is day 24 and her cycle is around 24-25 days so going to do a test when she gets home from work
Has you know it's frustrating but to finally hear some good news for a change but not be told what it actually means is again frustrating lol2010 Super League Grand Final Winners :beer:0 -
Lisa - ooohhh, that is a tough one! Would you being doing anything differently this cycle or would it be the same as the others? When you say 9 cycles, its is 9 fresh IVF or does that include FET? My thoughts are (and these really are only my thoughts) that if there was something different about the cycle (different meds, adding the scratch for the first time) and if you feel you can cope emotionally and physically then it might be worth considering another go. If there is nothing different, then I would be less likely to go for it as I would feel I was treading the same path. Is it worth getting an appointment with a different clinic to get their opinion?
There is a point that we will all come to when we have to say enough is enough but that point is different for all of us. If you feel you have already reached that point and come to terms with not carrying a child, then could you go back to all the hope/despair/stress/highs and lows that we all experience on a daily basis? I feel that I am not being very helpful here, just adding more questions! Sorry, I hope the above has been helpful in some way
(9 cycles including FET's, 6 fresh and 3 FETS I Think, it gets hard to remember)
Same meds I believe, and I had a scratch before (just a small clip on your cervix, yikes!!!) but this time they would be using the embryscope so that's something new.
I'm happy at our clinic, the only time we tried elsewhere was when we went for a consultation at ARGC (chronicled here somewhere) and it was such a massive crushing disappointment that we have stuck with what we know, rightly or wrongly)
Hadn't thought about carrying/not carrying my own in all this actually, just want the end results after so long and such a hard road.
Made rough enquiries with our consultant earlier (via email) and will prob here back from her this evening. no decisions made yet tho.
Thanks for listening!!2 angels in heaven :A0 -
