Just back from the scan – it all went fine, the Matron did it and said everything is looking nice and quiet and lovely.
Thank you everyone for your reassurance and best wishes – we were at the hospital in Bristol last night visiting DH’s dad (it's his 3rd week in there) so I didn’t get a chance to come on here and say thanks. I would’ve logged on this morning but the boss took me off for a meeting in the gap between getting to work and leaving for the appointment.
I know, I was worrying more than I needed to be but it’s more comforting to hear ‘it’s fine’ from all you lovely ladies who have been there and done that. x :A
Next hurdle – Gonal-F injections from tomorrow morning, then another scan next Tuesday and next Friday. I’ve got Gonal-F, Ovitrelle , Crinone and a sharps box in the back of my car – I really do feel like a bit of a drug addict…
Hugs to everyone (and extra special Fantastic Follies hugs to SewIt, Fairy and RowinGirl ) xxx0 -
Nothing exciting really here, finally remembered where I am in my cycle (my brain was obviously having some durr time the other day), and had day 21 bloods done this morning.
Am extremely tired today as got an urgent phone call from my friend last night. She is 7 months pregnant and was having a bleed. So I rushed over to look after her little boy while she went to hospital. Luckily she is fine and so is the baby, but it made me realise the stress related to ttc, and pregnancy never goes away.
Did try the 'I deserve a lollypop for being a brave girl and having my blood taken'. But it didn't work. Hubby just gone off to have an argument with his old workplace as they owe him holiday pay from when he left and keep coming up with excuses for not paying him.
Don't seem to having much luck with old workplaces, my old workplace were being investigated for not paying holiday pay or even minimum wage. Found out yesterday that the investigations have been stopped as someone has destroyed all of the paperwork, so there's no evidence either way.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
I've not gone anywhere either. And I got sick of doing the injections as well. I started to make silly mistakes at the end. One day I nearly used the wrong needle on myself (the long one) and then nearly injected a lot of air.
Tea, in December I was going to apply for a new job internally but did not go for it because of starting IVF. It was not a job I was really interested in so it's not the same situation. And you never know, it may take them a month to even find out about the interview stage.

:j for all the good scans and tests today. Onwards and upwards hey ladies
.
Thanks for all the thoughts on the job situation. My initial thoughts have been very much the same as good vibes, that now just isn't the right time. But today has been a nightmare (and there's still a few hours left) so am now wondering if the day from hell has been a sign that I need to shift my @rse out of here :rotfl:. Am dangerously close to a) having a massive tantrum, and b) going home in a strop.
Maybe it wouldn't hurt to just email for some more info.0 -
MrsDavo - I hope you feel better today.
Tea - apply for the job. You don't have to take it but at least you'll have something else to focus on and you won't be putting your life on hold for TTC.
littleme - glad your HCG went well.

I have my trigger shot tonight and EC on Thursday. Follicles lept from 10mm on Friday to 17mm on Monday. Have about 20-25 follicles and it took the radiologist 20min to find them all. Hopefully we'll create some embryos this time.

All my potential cycle buddies will be on the school run by the time my AF shows up!0 -
I would say apply for it Tea. In the end as the others said it really can't hurt to just apply.
I do feel glad at least I don't have these problems with yukky jobs, being self employed. However I do get the loony customers and idiots and if there is a problem I can't push it onto someone else. Be glad you don't get the loony customers like I do that think I'm their best mate just because they bought one thing off them, or the general wierdos like the one that messaged me this morning asking that if I sent him something again can I not pack it in polysterene as he is afraid of it (the message went on for ages, saying why he was scared of it and the effect on him). It at least gave me a laugh.
Why do I always get the grumpy blood taker at the hospital? They were all right mardy cows in there this morning.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
They have just announced the new series of One Born Every Minute is coming soon, think they have shown every series they have made in the time I been trying for one child.
Any series I am not going to watch then.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
That's amazing RG. Are you feeling uncomfortable? Good luck for EC. I have everything crossing for you.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
