Ha I am most certainly not petite. I'm a very solid size 18 and need to lose an awful lot of weight. I do two dance sessions a week, plus the gym, and swimming once a week, it just hasn't helped at all.

I used to be slim, but when I turned 18 I went on the pill and my weight shot up within 2 months. It's never come off again.
I can't tolerate a lot of fatty or processed food, so my diet is very healthy, all home made and mainly veg based. I don't even eat a lot of bread, and what I do is home made.

I am going to have a word with my doctor in the next few weeks I think as this is going to put me in a poor position with tests and going further with ttc. Even the doctor I spoke to at the hospital said that obviously I could only go so far now because of my weight.

My avatar is because I have ferrets and he is a Japanese cartoon about a Okojo (which is like a wild ferret).

I always pictured you like the Bond Girl, Vesper!! I wonder how different we all look to the way others picture us. For example, I'm not really a monkey!!:rotfl:

What??? you're not a monkey, wow that really has shattered my illusion.

My name does originate from Bond, Casino Royale was my favourite James Bond book (the name definitely predates the movie). Plus it obviously means along the lines of 'prayer'. I used to be a bit of a goth when I was 18 so my computer name was always 'black vesper' ie along the lines of black prayers, it's just been shortened through the years.

    Hi Ladies

Can I come join you on this board please?

Just had my bloods back which show I am not ovulating :( Just feel like crying, as although it confirmed what I was expecting I was still hoping that everything would be fine (although I know it is more useful to perhaps know there is an issue). Rather frustratingly the doctor I need to speak to wasn't in, so not sure what I do next (other than ring Monday and try to get through the frustrating appointment system to speak to them)

I know many of you are far along the process, so hope you won't mind me who has got to the start of this journey, from coming on this thread x

Welcome Tia. Sorry to see you here, but there is plenty of support whatever stage in the process you are at.

Have you been having regular cycles?

Thanks T2D - no my cycles are not regular, so not sure if that is something that may have made the blood test inaccurate, but to be honest I have only occasionally noticed what could be a positive on an opk and no other signs, but not been tracking using other methods - think now is the time to start learning!

    Hi Sewit.
If it was crinone gel i'd avoid it unless they give you a good reason to have it.
I had it for one cycle where they thought it was going to be really great, it was a new thing at the time but at the next cycle they changed their minds about how amazing it was.
It's basically a pre filled syringe filled with this gel that you insert daily (you know where!) Its a lot like wallpaper paste.

It was fine for the first few days but then became horrible. It kind of went up and stayed up, til I was basically full up of it (sorry guys!!) and then it started coming back out. When it did, it was black and thick and had irritated me inside very very badly and was making me bleed from the walls. This was the cycle where I got pg but it was ectopic and during all the extra scans etc and even after my surgery (2 weeks later!!) it was still coming out and irritating me.

Sorry, i'm sure that was completely TMI but if it is that they offer you, that is my experience of it, although i'm sure other people have not fared as badly!!!

    Good luck with your cycle!!!!

    Hi Sewit,
Just a quick delurk to say that I also used the Crinone Gel, I started it before transfer until I was 12 weeks this time. I didn't have any bother with it, I had been told to use it first thing and lie still for 20 mins which was a bit of a pain.
That's really interesting what you said about it Lisa-I was very sick and had some very dark gunk 'escape'. It happened twice at around 6-7 weeks, I forgot to mention at my scan appointment after that as everything was ok. Sorry you had such a horrible experience with it.

thanks for the tip Lisa - I will check and see what they say. Sorry you had a horrible experience, it sounds terrible!

RG & Tea, glad its not just me that is petrified. Not that I'm happy you are scared, but its comforting to know I'm not a crazy lady.

MrsHappy - thanks also for the info. Did you take it before ET but after EC? Am really starting to think that I should have it before ET as everyone else seems to have.

Vesper - defo check with your doc about PCOS and also thyroid issues, something isn't adding up if you are exercising and your diet is good. I sometimes think that docs don't do all the necessary tests until they are pushed, so ask!

Code - go for the tests, get all the info so that if you do decide on treatment later on then you are not delayed then waiting for the tests.

Tia86 - hi and sorry to see you here. They might be able to help get you to ovulate with Clomid (other drugs are available!). Get on the phone and fight for your appointment. One thing I have learned is that you need to push for things and know your rights! hope your stay is short and sweet.

also, forgot to say RG, the pens are a doddle, really easy to use and a tiny thin needle that you hardly feel. You twist the dial to the dose you need, then push down the top of the pen once your have put the needle in. Honestly, once you have done it once, you will be fine. xx

    .

It's something I've been meaning to deal with for a while. I do have some of the symptoms for pcos, but I know that each case is different.
I also have problems with over excessive hair growth.
