T2D, peonie - how are you getting on with pessaries? I am v windy, constipated then diarrea (sp?) and very very down. All side effects apparently. This has been the absolute worst bit for me.
    T2D
I've been ok with side effects. Some constipation, but not too much. I actually think using the backdoor helps a bit with that. Lets not get too much into why that might be!!

I am struggling with being grumpy and a bit depressed. Hating my job, and I made angry eyes at someone who cut in on me at Pret today! I admonished myself suitably. My boobs are sore, nipples sensitive and mildly nauseous in the morning. All normal AF symptoms, but on steriods.
I've realised the pessaries are causing the cramps. They start after taking them and subside after a few hours. My boobs are now huge, I have sensitive nipples, they were sore but that's now gone. I'm sorry you both are getting those horrible side effects. The gel only started to 'leak' after using it in 1 orifice for too long. I might start to alternate.
    Sew it
AFM - very interesting chat re pessaries (if a bit yucky!). I started my pessaries at ET not EC, am going to ask about starting sooner and also about a gel that the doc mentioned, anyone used this?

I'm bricking it this time. Far more nervous than before. I don't know whether it's because I know what's coming (physically), because this is our last go, because I'm scared about OH being so useless again or because I'm terrified of another m/c.
I understand why you are scared. Even if our test is positive next week (only 7 days to go) I'll be scared until we reach the 12 week mark. It's normal to be.

Hi Bigmomma, I'm sorry your doctors are being rubbish. I found the doctors at my surgery all varied and eventually one referred us. I would have thought trying for 3 years, 1 ovary and the cysts would have been enough to get a referral.

Lisa - during the 2WW and beyond you could help your surrogate do the things she can't do. That way you can still be involved and get updates when you see her.

Welcome to the new members of the community and I'm sorry I've not responded to everyone's updates.

As to what everyone looks like, I imagine you all look like me. John Malkovich comes to mind.

I don't normally watch Neighbours but was particularly annoyed at the speed Jared and his wife got pregnant when they had fertility problems.

Bigmomma- in the news today there has been reports about patients needing to be pushier with doctors - perhaps this would be worth looking at and saying to your doctor. As others have said, is there another doctor you could perhaps see - as even in the same surgery they can all be quite different.

Sorry not to comment to anyone else - I don't want to make any comments about things I have no clue about.

Tia, I was just coming here to post about the same story! To speed things up can you book your follow-up appointment now? You can probably guess when the year is done, then add a week for results. Saves a few weeks at least.

Then complain to the practice manager if it goes no where. Is your partner redoing his sa? Otherwise I bet they will ask for that at some late stage. Are you both at the same clinic?

Tea, I found some blogs for you.

  • Are you using a gel Pea? I have only been given the bullet pessaries
  • Big momma that all sounds like good advice.
You shouldn't have to fight for healthcare in this country though, it's so frustrating.
Just a thought, does your doc know how much this is upsetting you? If you're anything like me you stay calm during a consultation and then go home a cry your eyes out. I hate to suggest this but could you turn on the waterworks? It goes against the grain for me to suggest that but if it makes them take you seriously?

WTDN - I'm using the same as you. Don't you think what's not absorbed is like a gel?

Hello, may I join you please?

We have been ttc for a year, I had a feeling things were not quite right so in November we went to the GP who was lovely and agreed to a SA which came back very good and bloods for me.

My results were my prolactin was sky high and the GP suspected this was caused by medication (which I had checked before ttc whether I could carry on taking and was told no problem) I was also not ovulating.

I stopped the medicaton and prolactin is now normal but still no ovulation so tomorrow I start taking clomid. I am feeling a little anxious and just wanted somewhere to come for advice from ladies who know!
