Now you just have to convince DH! Shouldn't be too hard. ;)

Have you two been walking the dog again? It seems you have been talking!

After saying about eating healthily, I seem to have had a terrible incident. A chocolate !clair jumped into my basket in the shop, then I got home and the same !clair attacked me!!!! It jumped in my mouth!!!

    what???? its censored e.c.l.a.i.r

I don't think it's censoring eclair. You're just being accurate and putting an accent over the 'e'. MSE has a rubbish character set and e with an accent comes out as '!'. My friend's baby comes out as Andr!:D

I do understand why he doesn't want to do it, and the practical part of me doesn't want to put him through it, given the low chance of success.

I think part of the issue with the donor sperm is that his parents are quite strict Catholics and nearly disowned his brother for a relationship with a woman who had a child from a previous relationship. I think he worries about that. He also told me once that if I'd had a child when we met he wouldn't have asked me out. My family is quite large and there are kids that are step-children and natural children (to be honest, I struggle to remember which are which), so this attitude is weird for me.

He doesn't really get on well with his brothers, and actually really dislikes one of them, and I'm not keen on them either so a donation there is out. Also, I think if the situation were reversed and we needed a donor egg, I'd rather have one from a stranger than someone I know. I think that might be weird.

I could never have had a friend's egg. Freaky and it would feel like I was borrowing her baby or something.

I think t2d's already mentioned it, but I can't recommend a bit of counselling enough. At my clinic it was a stipulation if you went down the donor route so I had to go. I wasn't expecting much but it was a huge eye opener - made me realise how I felt about all sorts of things. I found it really really helpful.

  • Still got everything crossed for you PUPO ladies! I've been away for a week and have been desperately stalking you all whenever I could get free wifi! I've got every limb crossed!

Code, I can't recommend counselling enough. My counsellor has helped me deal with so much over the past week. I think with all the decisions you and your OH have got coming up it might really help you both.

I've put something in white below. Please don't feel obliged to read.

I have somehow got a BFP. I have no idea how this has happened- the doctors basically gave us 1 in a couple of thousand odds and i've had zero s.ex drive ever since. I'm absolutely terrified. If you all don't mind I'd like to stay here as I don't believe something this good can happen to me! I won't say owt and will just lurk unless it's something I can comment on.

No - my face is hurting again so he walked the dog by himself today. We had a talk last night, while we were watching the tv. Both looking at the tv of course.

I showed him the article and asked if he'd consider it and he said maybe. :j:j

Thinking of all you PUPO ladies, the call of the test is a hard one to resist, my BFP showed up at 8DPT, not that I would ever encourage SSing or early testing of course
