Peonie, this whole thing gets into our heads. I was reading up last night about what to do/not do, and the advice is conflicting. Like everything with TTC! However, the general message seems to be that it doesn't really matter, do what you normally do. One article said that non-bedrest has been shown to be better than resting.
But I agree it's all so stressful. I don't want to be blaming myself for something in a weeks time that might have caused it to fail!
By the way, its the same with cramps. Sometimes good, sometimes bad... sometimes meaningless.
Ladies I am updating Lists now. So please let me know any updates requested that you may not have mentioned.0 -
Brilliant news WTDN.
PM - can you book an emergency appointment with your new GP? Hopefully see them sooner and get things sorted out?

Evening ladies, trying to get used to all the acronyms on here still
And boy you lot are a bunch of chatterboxes, miss a few days and I have pages to catch up on :rotfl:
Code I'm so sorry about your news, I was over on the TTC board with you for a while, you were one of the ladies who I used to follow ( in a none stalkerish way, honestly! ), I know there's nothing I can say to make you feel better so here's a dodgy hug :grouphug:
I've booked in for my CD21 bloods at the beginning of Feb ( only had CD3 bloods so far ), DH is yet to do the necessary for his SA, I think he's putting it off, I know it's not pleasant but it needs to be done before the end of Feb for our next appointment. Which brings me to the fact I cannot find the letter about the appointment anywhere, literally had the house upside down! I'm normally really organised and put all my appointments in my diary and the one time I've forgot I can't find the blooming letter for! Hoping if I ring them they'll be able to look it up, I know it's the 20 something of Feb, that's about it!

lisawood - I missed your post earlier about surrogacy. Sounds like things are starting to move! That's very exciting.
The 6 weeks wait sounds fair enough. I suppose they need to be really certain if you are getting someone else to carry for you. Do you have a surrogate yet? If so, do you mind my asking how you found them? COTS or a friend?
I'm really pleased for you. After the 6 weeks, how long until it is transferred?0 -
Loving all of the PUPO's.
Danielley, I used a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor for a long time, they are pretty good. But can work out very expensive if you are trying for a long time.
After hubby lost his job before xmas, he's been working at a local factory, but he had an interview this morning, and he got the job! So so pleased for him as it's a much better pay than what he was on before, and means that over all I will get to spend more time with him. It's got a lot more potential as well.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
Hi t2d
She is a friend, her OH got in touch with mine and made the offer, the guys went to school together and have been friends for over 20 years.
After the 6 weeks test has been done and all is clear then we can go ahead with a standard IVF cycle whenever our surrogate is ready. We are ready to go bar from the standard counselling sessions that we have to have, but it is only 2 appointments. Our surrogate needs standard infections screening, 'dildocam scan' and then counselling sessions for them also.
When my cycle is under way she will have to take meds to bring hers inline with me, like a downreg I believe so that we end up in the same part of the cycle so that when I have my eggs collected she is at the right stage to have ET a few days later.
Saying all that i'm getting terribly impatient!! ha ha it is entirely up to them when they take the next step and of course we have told them that, no rush, no pressure etc when at the back of my mind i'm thinking Ohhhh I hope its soon, or please let that text be from them saying when their appointment is or something.
Not that I would EVER say anything like that to them of course, just the little me me me voice in the back of my head! And now I sound selfish and pushy.
Part of me is in a real downer that I really never will get to be pregnancy myself no matter what, and to me that is a big part of having a family, having the bump, showing it off, choosing maternity clothes etc (and all the bad stuff besides!!!) i'll never have to peer at a pregnancy test with my heart in my mouth, never wonder 'oooh what was that twinge, do my boobs look bigger, do I feel sick' In fact nahhh, i'll stick to this way!!! :-)
Hope you are resting lady, feet firmly up when possible? x2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Peonie sorry to hear bout your sister but so plased its not spread, I hope she's on the road to recovery soon.
Lisa sounds like things are. Moving along for you, I really hope it all goes well for you.
Rg I'm not sure about an emergency appt, I think there going to say wait for a week for my first appt. think I'm stuck with the bleeding for a long time. I've been told the only solution to the bleeding is a hysterectomy.0 -
T2D, Peonie & WTDN - massive congrats to you all on being PUPO! I am hoping that babies are like buses, you've all waited ages and then three will come along at once!
Tea - happy birthday!
Frozen/Fairy - hi cycle buddies, hope you are doing ok?
Lisa - hope all the tests go well for you/the surrogate and you can get started soon.
PM - sorry you are stuck in limbo. Can you call the on call gyne at your local hospital? Failing that I would second getting an emergency app at your dr.
Vesper - congrats to your hubby!
CC - great you have got your bloods booked. Tell DH to get his !!!! in gear and get the test done as the results can take a few weeks to come back and you won't get much out the app with the FS without them!
Cwtw - if you are ov on your own then you don't need drugs to help you ov. It's often used to fob people off but if you don't need it it's no use. It's possibly a good thing that your doc might start looking at other options.
Floaty - hope app gets booked soon.
Code - how are you and DH? X
Danielley - this is the place to be bitter! Xx
AFM - sorry I've been a bit absent for the last week or so. I have defo hit the down part of down regulation! I feel really rubbish, very depressed, stressed and am not sleeping. TMI alert but I started my bleed and it's very heavy and sore and making my poor wee digestive tract tie itself in knots! I know it's just the drugs, but I can't shake the feeling that it's all pointless and it will never work for us so what is the point in putting us through all this.:(
Rant over , sticky vibes and/or hugs to everyone and if you fancy donning the silver suit Tea and giving us a birthday egg dance, that would be much appreciated.:rotfl:0 -
Forgot to say happy birthday tea lover!! Hope the day improved after the drugs debacle.0
