Woo, you're like a super-chicken!! Take what they say about OHSS seriously though, it's not nice! Take it easy... and get slugging the lucozade.

Have everything crossed that you'll have an equally impressive embie yield tomorrow.

*wonders if she can patent the egg dance as this week's results have been great*
  • Will do tea, thanks

    T2D - it's quality not quantity!

Off to the couch for a snooze. Those drugs are AMAZING!

    Wow WTDN...that's an amazing number!

You guys make my 3 egg haul look really pathetic!

p.s. I don't think I have ever felt as chilled out as I did after having my sedation. I think I dropped off mid-sentence talking with the nurse though which must have been pretty funny!
  • Great news WTTN. I don't know all the lingo but it sounds promising.

    I've been Dr Googling again.
Does anyone have any experience with caster oil packs for pcos, fibroids etc? You soak a flannel in caster oil and put it over your tummy and sit with a hot water bottle for a while. Seems pretty harmless.
Please feel free to tell me it's mumbo jumbo!

You know we'd take your cycle over 50 eggs! I am still stalking you from time to time, and glad things look like they are going well. :)

Eat protein. Drink sports drinks. Take it easy.

  • Thanks people. OH has been sent out for lucozade.

Code - still thinking of you. Guessing it will be a while before you and your OH can digest the news.

    Hi all

    Update from me

Discharged from FS - Referred for IVF

I still need to get the all clear from the endocrinologist on my next appointment (14/02/14) and I have been told the initial IVF group meeting will be after that.

I asked my FS if I should contact them if I get pregnant in the meantime and he said that they would do an early scan if I wanted, which was lovely even though they are not my local hospital. It feels a bit odd not being under a consultant anymore but obviously it is a positive thing.

I had a 1/2 reflexology 1/2 reiki session last weekend which was really wonderful, so relaxing. I had seen the therapist previously for a sports massage (dodgy shoulder) and I mentioned fertility etc and she offered to do a fertility focused treatment for me. If money was no object I would spend my days in pamper treatments!

Following the referral , I was a bit upset following a conversation with a family member who asked if I would carry on if it failed first attempt (I only get 1 cycle free on NHS). I was a bit taken aback and said I didn't know, perhaps not (DH & I haven't fully discussed 'what if' yet - we don't want to be negative about it not working) Anyway I couldn't help but think that she was thinking ''You can't want a baby that much if you aren't prepared to pay'' :(
