Peonie and t2d sending you both lots of good wishes for your little embies
code I am so sorry to hear your news, I know that you and DH will be devastated, hope you can take some time to be kind to yourself over the next few days.
angeltreats Sorry to hear about your uncle, hope you and your family are okay at this tough time.
wt good luck for today, hope it goes well for you.
Thank you very much tea, fluff and SewIt for your advice. I have now told work but that seems to have unlocked the reality of what's going on and I haven't stopped sobbing since. I can only hope I get a grip before I start today. I think telling them made me realise just how much pressure I'm under as I am the main earner in our house.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
What did you tell work Isla? That you were starting IVF?
Oh dear - sorry it's hit you so hard! But having kids is never a good financial decision. We do it only to get covered in poo, and then shouted at when they are teenagers!
I'm also the main breadwinner in our house, and it does put a lot of pressure on me. I'm actually starting to lay the groundwork for a major reduction in our lifestyle so that I can work less. DH isn't really buying into it, but I don't want to get another 'big' job when we go to Australia. Plus any new major job won't come with the flexibility I want.
We discussed what we would do if this cycle fails last night. He's keen to stay and try again with an eye to getting Mat leave. I'm happy to see he's willing to try again, but I'm also pretty keen to get to Australia. It's a major financial decision though, as I basically get six months mat leave here.
Anyway, we will see. We are actively trying to discuss what we will do if it fails to keep our feet on the ground. Last times failure after being so hopeful hit us both really hard.0 -
Code - so much to process and deal with. Massive hugs xxx0

T2D, I totally get what you mean about actively discussing what might happen if it doesn't work. Spent ages last night remodelling our house (in my head of course!) to include a loft conversion and turning the exisiting bedrooms into a 'den' each. Thought he could fill his with trainers and I could finally have the space for a sewing machine.
By the time I went to sleep I'd worked out where to put the shelves in the fitted cupboards, what colour the walls would be etc.0 -
