You know we'd take your cycle over 50 eggs! I am still stalking you from time to time, and glad things look like they are going well. :)

I really, really hope you all get the same outcome... I think about you guys all the time.

That's even more amazing. I also had 20 follicles and got 13 eggs so 19 really is amazing.

The hospital has pushed back my ET time to the end of the day so I don't know if I'll be able to have the second acupuncture :-(

Whattodonow - that's an excellent haul. Well done! Hope they all fertilise. You could be octomum!! Take it easy, drink all the lucozade and relax.

T2d, I'm sure this cycle will be ok and everything, but I've been wondering (in the way it's totally healthy to do about strangers on the internet :rotfl:) what happens to your frosties if you go back to Australia. Do you get to take them with you? Not that it'll matter anyway, because this cycle will work.

Thank you all for your support, despite me bringing the thread down. I've been trying to keep busy all day so I didn't burst into tears in the office, but my face was swollen from all the crying last night. I did my best with makeup and managed to downgrade to the "hasn't slept in months" look, which was a massive improvement to the "recovering from a bad facelift" look I woke up with. I was ok, until I walked past a woman with a buggy and then another woman with a toddler in adorable stripy wellies and thought I was going to cry again. Then because I had my music on random, it decided to play the following songs:
Always look on the Bright side of life (my cheer up song)
    Keep rolling
    Child in time
It's the end of the world as we know it
You can't always get what you want.
At least it wasn't "Big balls". :rotfl:

I made it through the day and came home and had a wee cry on the sofa then took the dog out. His goofy face happy walk face makes me smile.

Anyway, I'm not quite ready to leave here just yet, while we have so many delightful options to choose from. Do we
    a) castrate DH in our attempt to have a crappy chance at one embie
    b) lure random men who look a bit like DH, give them a posh handy j and run off with their sperms in a condom.
    c) steal a baby
    d) offer up my normal eggs to someone in here who has rubbish ones in exchange for their OH's sperms and split the embryos :rotfl:
    e) give up and 'just' adopt.
Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.
  • Hey code

Sorry if I've missed something but is there no possibility of them gettin sperm out of your OHs testicle via syringe? Sorry to be talking about your partners bits!
  • ... Or was that what they were lookig into? Sorry to be an ignoramus, trying to search your back posts x
  • Ah ok, found your posts. So sperm cells are different to sperm?

Maybe I should just shut up. Sorry

Tough calls all around code. I can understand your reluctance to think about the surgery. It's not like IVF with a 40% success rate. With IVF you don't end up destroying your sex life!

Why is there such a long waiting list for sperm donation? I had the impression it was something you could get on the internet these days! I know your husband is against it, but perhaps now the situation is clearer he may consider it. The fact that you know its a long waiting list tells me you at least asked...

It's the same concept as egg donation, and we know the ladies on here have had great success with that. But your decision clearly.

I know it's different, but one year ago I was basically told it was all over too. Hysterectomy, radiation etc, and it does change your views a bit. We were suddenly thrown into the world of egg donation and surrogacy, and you'd be amazed how quickly we accepted that that was a viable alternative! Not saying you will, but things might change.

Re the embies, they can come with us. We have checked! They cost more to move than a fully grown human, but they can come on a special medical delivery service. You used to be able to bring them with you in the cabin, but as its a large sealed metal chilled container you can't get it through security anymore. We have already spoken to IVFAustralia and they are happy to accept them.
