Just one other thought... 'less than 40%'. Well that's the kind of figures we talk about when we embark on an IVF cycle yet will still do that with hope. Not sure I'd completely write off your OH just yet. Any chance of a second opinion?

Less than 40% chance of getting sperm. Much less chance of any sperm cells they can use. More chance of castrating DH. Plus the 37% success rate for ICSI at EFREC. When the fs cant see any positives, its not good. Plus, the fs already told us they have 32 couples waiting for sperm and no donors so the sperm donation is pretty much out.

I think we need to sleep on it and have a proper discussion of our options at the weekend but its not looking good

Hey code. What a horrible horrible day for you. I think the next step is to take a bit of time to deal with the shock. I looked at your posts the last few days and this looks like you really weren't ready for this. So give yourself some time to cope.

It's not the end. Really it's not. But for now it's an incredible shock. We are here for you when you need us.

My uncle's funeral was today. It was so sad, he was a lovely kind man who adored his family and my poor auntie is just broken. I've decided to organise a big family reunion later in the year because we only seemto get together at sad occasions, we need something to celebrate.

Sorry to hear your news.

I had my consultation today, and confirmed short protocol as I am a "4" so high risk of excessive results

Turns out DH has reduced to <1 so over next month want to collect and freeze 3-4 samples so have more to chose from on fertilisation day.

To late to start next week as start on Day 1 and need to attend a "risks" talk so starting on or around 18 Feb! Apparently 2 weeks approximate of injections then extraction then hopefully if works 3-5 days later their maybe some embryos to plant!

Whilst waiting I had to try really hard not to people watch in waiting room (everyone there for same reason)!

Hi WW. How was your review appointment? Don't feel bad about taking time for yourself & your DH. IVF is a rollercoaster & exhausting.
