WTDN - they lady doing the scan said they want at least 1 follie to reach 17mm so it sounds like you were right on track.

PM - That is absolutely ludicrous and you should definitely put in a formal complaint. You absolutely need a referral and support not some judgemental moron telling you that God will intervene. Big hugs to you.
T2D & Peonie - Fantastic work on the egg dancing ladies! Sending plenty of fertilisation vibes your way.
Chickpea - Hugs to you
Sad Shoe - Don't feel too deceitful, it's just the way it is.
WTDN - Hope those follies keep going!Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
isla thanks, off to have more provera now.I hoped the year would be kinder to us but so far no. Trying to find another gp now aswell.
Chick pea hugs to you.0 -
Well done to t2d and peonie on the bumper egg crops. Got everything crossed for you all.
Not posting much as there's !!!!!! all going on. My endocrinologist (who I saw on 18th November) promised to write to the Hewitt to clear me for IVF within 2 weeks. I'm assuming he's writing war and sodding peace to them as he STILL hasn't written it. I'm stuck between the two hospitals and no one will help me. His secretary avoids me and doesn't return my calls and the hewitt secretary has told me quite clearly it's not her job to chase the letter. Argh.
To top it off I appear to have mislaid AF. It's cd43 and there seems to be no sign. I refuse point blank to test as it's crushing and a giant waste of money. Even my body is dicking me around now.0 -
Urgh! Limbo's such a pain in the bum as well. I don't blame you for refusing to test but it must be only adding to your frustration.
Can I ask a silly question? Have any of you told your employer the situation you are in? I'm finding it increasingly difficult to explain the medical appointments and I'm starting to think I should just be up front with them rather than continue sneaking about. Any thoughts or experiences would be welcomed.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
TCD thats sh*te. Can you actually go down and see them in person? Harder to hide if you're there in the flesh.
isla - i told my direct line manger only because she is very, very supportive. I would not tell anyone else. They have no right to know why you're having medical appointments. Do you work in a big company with a HR dept? Do you have a flexi-time system?0 -
Hi ladies,
Wow - what a day of sleep! I think I needed it. Both from the EC this morning, and I think from some accumulated stress. I've been asleep on the sofa for about 6 hours. But feeling finally ready to be awake.
So, with a bit more detail on today. I spoke to DH last night, and agreed he wouldn't be in the room. He didn't really want to, plus he wasn't really clear why this was different to last time. It was irrelevant in the end as it was never an option for him to be there - when he came to walk in even with the nurse for the initial chat she told him in no uncertain terms to stay outside and wait!
EC wasn't too bad. I didn't feel like they gave me a lot of drugs, and you feel the needle going in, but it was ok. They said I was very relaxed actually. Far too much experience I guess! Not something I'd like to do everyday, but nothing to be afraid of. They moved me to recovery but I was up and ready to go quite soon. Although the other girl in there was having some kind of trouble - a lot of bleeding I think, but was ok in the end. DH had done his bit sometime while I was in. So we then just had a meeting with the embryologist, I had to wee and then they took out the canula. And then off home.
Tired now, and have started the progesterone. Which is slightly grim (suppository) but I'll get used to it. More worried about my moods on this though. I can get so angry with PMT, so dreading two weeks of it.0 -
My boss knows. Only because I've taken so much medical leave in the last 12 months, I felt it was fair to tell him why. He also would be worried it was something to do with the cancer, which isn't fair to leave him thinking that.
There is a type of leave in our HR system called 'fertility leave' so I'm using that. Only cause I'm not a million miles from using up all my full pay sick leave.0 -

I work in a tiny company with no flex time and my job means I'm not always based in one location. I have a good relationship with my boss and feel like they might be more supportive if they know what's going on.
Fertility treatment is not covered in our staff handbook at all so don't even know what I'm entitled to.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
It's so helpful to read your EC collection experience t2d it sounds like it has gone okay for you today, I really hope the next bit goes as smoothly for you.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550
