    Hi everyone,

Sorry I went AWOL for the last month but I had to get my head together. It did work. I am sorry to have missed all of your progress. Were there any major things I missed? BFPs?

I started the short protocol on the 1st January and was glad it did not last longer. I felt queasy and had headaches - the latter probably from dehydration. On Monday I had 20 follicles and 9 of them were over 20mm. No wonder I felt uncomfortable.

9 little eggs busy being icsi'd now. All very easy, no option for dh to be in the room! No real idea on egg quality yet, although embryologist said at least half looked mature.

I'm feeling quite queasy. Will update later.

Thanks for all the good wishes. You are all lovely!
    Great news t2d.

I also had my eggs collected today. We got 13 eggs but no idea how many are mature or the egg quality. We'll find out how many are fertilised tomorrow.

The hospital was great. We had our own room and bathroom. The FS that referred me was also the one who did the egg collection so that was a nice little touch. The drugs were great! The anesthetist was lovely and relaxed me. For those also having their treatment at the HC I found out 100% of the embryos are incubated in embryoscope or Eeva. Ours are going in embryoscope.

Hi WTDN - I got there around 9.15 with my hair in a mess and loads of bags. If you saw someone like that then it was me. Funnily enough, I did think about you when I was in the waiting room and wondered if you were one of the ladies. How many follicles and large follicles did they count today?

Thanks facebook suggested pages, not really in the market for a 3d scan right now though.
  • Partmouse that's outrageous you must be so frustrated with having to deal with annoying gp's on top of everything else I hope you manage to change doctors

EGGsellent news peonies and time2deal I'm not sure if all involved with it but hope all goes well take it easy

I start my new job tomorrow and thought wed missed this month but went to loo earlier (TMI alert) lots of fertile stretchy cm so tempted to jump on hubby when he gets home even though would prob be more sensible to wait till next month and I'm nicely ensconced in job but sensible sucks ;)
  • Ah I had left before then, in at 8:30am today.

About ten follies on each side, only a couple of bigger ones (15, 17mm) so not sure how good that is. Thought I wouldn't be ready for EC but they decided otherwise.

Partmouse, I'd definitely move practice if I were you. Did she also suggest asking Santa Claus and checking the cabbage patch, or perhaps if you built one from snow....? She actually sounds like a friend of mine who despite knowing the issue with DH's azoospermwhotsit, is totally convinced that if I only read "The Secret", I'd get pregnant. Seriously though, if there's another practice within 100 miles, you should register there, before the negligent ones kill you or something.

T2ď and peonie - well done on the eggs. Hope they all fertilise and turn into lovely embies.

Tealover - I spend a lot of time on facebook clicking the "this is annoying or not interesting button".

Tomorrow dh has his appointment so fingers crossed he's ok for surgery. I'm not going with him because he never blydi comes to mine and also because I have to attend a big, important restructuring meeting at work. That word is never good so am hoping I get to keep my job. As much as I hate it, we kind of need the money.
