  • I think men see it as a knock to their masculinity if there is anything wrong with their SA. My OH has slight morphology but both the Dr & FS said that it shouldn't cause a problem. The only tests OH has had is SA, but being female means we are "lucky" enough to get more tests. Blood test wise I've had my 21 day progesterone, FSH, LH, Prolactin and Thyroid. I've had a lap & dye, numerous internal exams & scans.

If there are problems with his SA changing diet, cutting out alcohol & using supplements can sometimes improve the results.

TTC time for us is 8+ years! fingers crossed that changes next month after IVF #2.

Good luck with the results xx

The really depressing thing about it being 5 years is how many times I just added that up...I couldn't remember when I was 30 as it was so long ago. Am now going to bed to sulk about being old lol.

Right ladies, I'm taking us in hand! The mood here is slipping (understandably so, life is being sh***y to us) so I reckon it's time for another round of 'confessions of a long-time ttc-er'

    I'll start....

In the absence of any actual children I'm currently reading The Chronicles of Narnia to my ovaries :o

I'm in a good mood. I'm in the ivf positivity zone.

My confession is that I listen to daily affirmations, which include things like 'your ovaries are creating strong and beautiful eggs', 'each egg is a seed full of love and wonder waiting to grow'.

I cringe... But I listen! While jammed in someone's armpit on the central line. :)

I also admit that every scan, except maybe mid ivf cycle, i hope that they will say 'oh, there's a baby in there'.

I was in netmums the other day, and they have some ANGRY TTC threads. Very angry. Its good if you are in the mood to be bitter! Made me feel sane.

I'm becoming one of those crazy people who treat their pets like children and I dressed my dog in a Santa suit on Christmas day :o

  • Anybody have an idea about the time scale of an IVF treatment.

My first appointment is on 4/02/2014. I already had the investigations done in Hammersmith hospital for internal ultrasound and my DH done his SA.

So when we go on 04/02/2014 will be treatment starting straight away or will they give one more appointment for co-ordination.

I will be very glad if my treatment starts in March 2014.
As I have two weeks off for Easter in April so can relax without stressing too much about time off and work stresses during EC and ET.
