Grr - nothing like seeing IVF described as the 'easy option' to get your back up .

Ah the joys of cetrotide mixing, got all that to look forward to again. Have to say it was mostly ok time-wise last time, apart from the time OH had to shield me while I mixed it in the car park at a funeral.

    Hey ladies,

PM - what absolutely crap news!!! So sorry, it's just one thing after another at the moment?! I so hope 2014 is the year for you.

Tea - where did you see if described as that?!

Welcome Jen, definitely put in a complaint!

T2d - I went to the docs yesterday and booked in for a smear next week. He said it could be something simple but obviously best to get checked out.

AFM: On CD 3 today. Shouldn't be.....had a stupid 24 day cycle this month!! How can I go from 46 to 30 to 34 to 24?!? Plus last month was really light and this month is really heavy?!
    I HATE my body!

Code - I'm doing crap! Not lost anything since my last update - only got 4 weeks until my next appointment, should I just stop eating and then I'll definitely lose enough by then lol. On a serious note, can I please lose at least half a stone before then?! Xx

Mrs Davo, on the TTC thread!
  • RG - this losinn weight thing is a b**ch.

My BMI was 29 when I was referred for IVF and now it slowly crept upro 29.4 due to the holidays. I hope I can keep it down by the time of my appointment whith out crossing the 30 mark.

AFM - feeling a bit better today back at work and such long hours today working from 9am- 9 pm.
    Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)

    Hi all,

Sorry to here that so many of us are having a rubbish time...

Time2deal - A little change update for your next list update

    Awaiting FS appointment on 14/01/14

Well, things are much better this side of Xmas for me. DH & I are much happier and I have arranged some counselling to deal with my anger and low moods. I have also booked in for a reiki/reflexology session as I do find alternative therapies very soothing.

On the fertility front, we are due to see our FS next week. When we saw him last he mentioned that if all was clear on the MRI Scan/Prolactin front, he would refer us for IVF at this appointment.

As far as we know, the medication I have been taking to reduce my prolactin is working and because of this DH & I are considering mentioning waiting another 3 months for the IVF referral to see if by any chance we get a BFP naturally now that my prolactin has hopefully been regulated.

However, I am worried if that saying this may come across to the FS that we are not serious about TTC, but I just think that I would like to try another couple of cycles naturally, as really this is like our first cycle trying as unbeknown to us, all previous attempts over the past 12/18 have been fruitless due to the high prolactin. I know how gruelling IVF can be and we are able to avoid it I would prefer to...

I almost can't believe I am considering this, as when I first had my FS apt in July 2013 I wanted to come out of that office with a IVF referral there and then!!!!

    Hugs to all

    x

ps - I have a SS confession. It is CD13 for me today and I had a little bit of spotting this morning. I have been on a mini cloud 9 all day thinking it was the earliest implantation bleed known to man :)

They aren't 100% sure to be honest, I'd say they were 80% sure I have it. As I have all the symptoms, but at my scan of my ovaries in Dec 2012 they said left ovary was fine but my right ovary was enlarged and had 11+ small cysts. Which wasn't enough to confirm PCOS. But I have every other symptom, abnormal FSH/LH ratio and also some facial hair/ irregular periods / overweight etc.
I think my FS is treating me as if I do have it. But I'm just getting fed up with the not knowing when to expect my period? Was caught completely off guard this month.

This month marks 3 years TTC for us, ugh...

Tea - that is awful!! Don't go on there but how can they say that?! May have to go and have a read...

Love actually; my BMI is 29 too and they still told me to lose weight at my last appointment :-( xx
