  • T2D have every crossed for you. I'm still hoping your doctors can do something for you this cycle.

Tea the research projects sound interesting. What happens next for you?

Another short-protocol ICSI cycle. Will be starting stimms sometime after christmas. I did really want to get going again this year but the timing just hasn't worked out. The only difference will be the embryoscope, so let's hope that's enough to tip things in our favour.

Really need to get drugs quotes and book yet another SA, all motivation has gone now I know we're looking at next year.

Have no idea what's happening atm. Am CD35 and don't know if I've even ov'd. Gave up testing when OH had man flu. Usually start spotting somewhere in the 30s so am just waiting for it now.

Thanks - no never had a blood slip (what is it?)? Dr just asked me to phone to get bloods done on CD3 - tbh as much as the hospital would be easier, it's a minimum £3 to park at ours - & free at the Drs ;)

    C xx

It is the actual slip that goes with the blood for testing so the technicans know what the blood is to be tested for. I was given mine by the clinic to take away so bloods can be redone on day 2-5 as need an updated one to send off ICSI referal form to CCG for funding approval.

I was just wanting to ask if people are taking any supplements at present and if so which ones?

    Hi star :)

I'm currently taking vit c & zinc, vit b complex, folic acid and iron.

    My OH's taking wellman conception.

There's folic acid in the vit b complex but you just wee out any excess, plus my dad has spina bifida so I'm keen to avoid that. Have no idea if there is any genetic aspect to it but thought I'd stay on the safe side.

FS advised me to take iron as I'm anaemic. I can't take it everyday though as (tmi alert!!) combined with co-codamol it can be a bit er.... slowing, for the digestion :rotfl:.

The really important one is folic acid, the rest are probably so you feel you're doing something :p.

Tea, the reason I can't take co-codamel much is cause of the slowing problem. Does that not bother you too much?

Intake heaps of supplements. Vit B,E, zinc, a calcium/magnesium and D mix, coq10, royal jelly and folic acid. Dh is on Wellman but test yesterday showed it didn't make much difference.

I think I'm out now. Embroys are frozen. So now a dozen in the freezer. Anyone have a womb to spare?!

I'll rent mine out in exchange for some working embryos - how about I stick a couple of yours in then we can have one each?? :p

I really hope you find a way round this sweetie, got any generous female relatives that might want to do the cooking for you?

Re. the slowing - omg yes it is an issue! Also the worst of my endo adhesions are in the POD area so yeah, it's not good! Then add metformin into the mix and the stomach cramps and pains can be really awful. Definitely venturing into tmi territory here but I often feel like I'm going to pass out from the pain beforehand.

A lot of this is totally my own fault of course, I should just stop taking so much co-codamol. But even the thought of cutting down brings me out in a cold sweat. I'm already living in fear that one day my GP will notice the amount of repeat prescriptions I get.

Sorry to jump in but instead of taking iron tablets I've been taking Spa Tone liquid iron supplement (mixed with orange juice) and haven't noticed any digestive issues. I got freaked out by the thought of taking tablets as SIL has been on them and said her #2s were black... I've noticed nothing like that with the liquid stuff and it has genuinely made me feel better. Might just be worth looking into? It's not cheap, about £8 for a box of 28 but it's currently on 3-for-2 at Boots. :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I've never had anything like that - my Dr puts what is needed on her screen ont he computer & then the lady who does the bloods at the Drs surgery takes it, end of. I just turn up on the correct day!
I don't even know what they are testing for with CD3 bloods - it's been so long (4 months) since she told me I needed them done that I've forgotten!
