• So sorry to hear your news RG - thinking of you xxx

I like the advice of thinking of round one of IVF as a practice. Takes some of the pressure off. Sure its still pretty devastating though. Keep thinking we'll be going through that next year.... In the meantime we are just going to enjoy ourselves. We're off skiing at christmas and early again next year!

I know what you mean Vesper, I'm lucky that there are not any people on my FB with baby related news. As soon as I see something I immediately remove their notifications from my newsfeed.... its easier that way.

It took all of what I had yesterday not to fly at this stupid young girl in town. Late teens/early 20's, heavily pregnant in tracky bottoms smoking an effing roll up.

Why can people like that reproduce?!

rant over sorry x

How are you doing RG? Infertility is such a b@stard.

T2D: How are you doing? Have you heard anything about fertilization and possible next steps?

AFM: not feeling very positive at all...I have very definite AF pains, PMT, night sweats, open cervix and basically every symptom I ever get when the witch is coming. I may spectacularly crash out of the TWW early doors; I'm really paranoid my body doesn't know that anythings changed and will just come on as usual (which would be today).

And I'm back at work too *sigh*

Fertilisation Report is three fertilised normally, and they are looking to freeze them. I've asked them to wait and confirm with the docs. Still hoping against hope.

Hello everyone,

I was just wanting to ask if people are taking any supplements at present and if so which ones?

Sorry to hear of people bad news, and I too like the idea of treating the first round as a "practice round" altough the 1st round is the only funded round

AF got me, but at least I was just able to make a bloods appointment for Monday. I got through to the wrong person at the Drs & she told me all the blood apps were booked, but before I could turn on the waterworks (would have had to wait another 2 months or so until next AF) she squeezed me in & told me she shouldn't have booked this time (lunch break) but to plead ignorance when I turned up :D

Got to love some people ;)

Hugs to all. Plenty of fb announcements here & profile pics of scans

Do you have the blood slip? I was given mine at the appointment as mine can also be done at the hosiptal which is walk in (you take a number and wait for the number to be called on the day), just a back up option you may wish to consider x

T2D - three fertilised is great! So if I remember rightly that brings you up to a total of 12 frosties?? (If you end up freezing these ones). That's a great number. Have everything crossed that you find a way of getting them transferred.

We had our appointment with Prof Embryoscope yesterday and we're now signed up to two research projects. The first one looks at the culture the embryos grow in, once the process is finished. They're looking for any differences in what's left behind between the embryos that became babies and those that didn't.

The second project looks at collected but immature eggs, those that don't fertilise, and any created embryos that aren't suitable for transfer or freezing. So basically the duds lol. We had 7 immature eggs last time, 7 eggs that didn't fertilise, and 2 embryos that were dodgy looking by ET. With such a lot of natural wastage I'm pleased that at least something will be done with it! It also goes some way to assuaging the guilt I feel at not going down the egg donor route.

She also said that they can provide us with the embryoscope footage, so basically a time-lapse film of our potential embryos. If we were lucky enough to actually get a child at the end of this how amazing would that be - having a film of them as an embryo?! Something to put on the 18th birthday card lol.
• Hi Derby. I'm very tired, didn't sleep much last night. I keep drifting between hopelessness that nothing will work because my luteal phase doesn't last beyond 10days and extra progesterone didn't make a difference, and hope that my FS may have answers and can change things during our next cycle. I hope AF doesn't show up for you. I have every crossed for you and your embie. When is your OTD? Do you have a HPT or blood test?

T2D how are you?

Thanks - no never had a blood slip (what is it?)? Dr just asked me to phone to get bloods done on CD3 - tbh as much as the hospital would be easier, it's a minimum £3 to park at ours - & free at the Drs ;)

C xx
