Ladies, could someone update the lists for me? I'm not up to it but lots has changed and exciting for our next batch.
Can you puy me to TTC limbo?0 -
Code: I saw my rheumatologist recently and she would've been happy for me to be on Amitriptyline during pregnancy, but as (on gp's advice) I'd been weaned off it to ttc, I'm not currently taking it and she didn't want to reintroduce it while already pg. (I got side effects of acid reflux and drowsiness through the daytime with it though, so I'm not sure I'm missing it too much
)
Re the painkillers: you can get codeine separately from the Paracetamol, so that you can start with Paracetamol and the take the codeine if it's not doing enough. Just ask your gp/doctor to prescribe them separately, so you can work your way up.
Advice given to me was that I can take cocodamol/codeine at the same time as taking tramadol (and have done many times), however if you get knocked out by the codeine in cocodamol anyway, then adding the two together may be far more than you could handle?
My gp and pregnancy consultant have no issues with me taking Paracetamol/codeine/cocodamol/tramadol during pregnancy and no further measures have been discussed to keep an eye on either of us while doing so. (The only real restriction was that it was mentioned as not a good thing to take while breastfeeding, as tea already mentioned)
Hope that helps.
T2d, sorry to hear you won't get your fresh ET. Hope you get more answers and support soon"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Tea - Hope you are okay...... Fluff - You were posting with the best of intentions, emotions just run high in this thread don't they, inevitably :A
And in fairness - Tea's post read a bit like she was just taking the co-codamols herself, ie self prescribing etc which i am sure is not the case! Lets face it, its better to not be taking ANYTHING which could have an adverse affect on baby of course..... BUT there are some circumstances whereby someone needs prescribed meds which aren't ideal, but are the best of a "bad lot" (ie painkillers in general), if you see what i mean? :cool:Baldrick, does it have to be this way? if I were Tea I would have found your posts highly upsetting, and yes as you raise it "overstepping the mark" in terms of what is acceptable or helpful.
Why on earth do you feel the need to come on here after months of lurking just to have a pop? If tea lover feels upset no doubt she also feels able to tell me herself. I'm more than happy to have that conversation with her if need be. What is completely unnecessary is other people who have no part in a particular discussion, who no longer regularly post on this thread, to stick their oar in and stir it up a bit. It was a passing comment and hopefully would have been treated as such. But because you've felt the need to butt in it's suddenly much more of an issue.
I rarely get angry on MSE but by god you've annoyed me. Mind your own !!!!ing business and stop meddling."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

(I thought the same as you about someone just popping up out of the blue... hence my post .....)Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

T2D, I was planning to pick up your list when I did the others but I need to go out. Will do it when I get back if nobody else has.
Hope it's good news and you feel better soon xEu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Please can anyone help with what may be a daft question - once it's decided you are ready for EC, do you still keep stimming until the day?
Am praying that by some miracle I have some suitably sized follicles at scan on MondayI think they do EC on a Thursday so would that mean you would keep injecting Mon,Tues, Wed eve or just stop?
Tired of all the drugs now so just looking forward to last injection either way.0 -
How long have you been stimming ww? I think once they start to grow, they grow pretty fast so that might be why they aren't increasing it. Grrr to the lack of info.. I was talking to the scanning lady about this and her take on it was that it was my body so she thought it was right I get told
Today is day 11. Completely agree, they should explain everything. Sounds like your scanning lady has a nice attitudeIt's not helped by the fact that you never see the same person twice at our clinic!
Whattodonow - that's exciting that you are starting so soon. Feels good to have a date doesn't it?0
