If you had read the thread fully you would see that the phones are covered by o2 with a longer warranty.
If you look at the market of phones they are pretty much at their capabilities, unless manufacturers can get handsets to cook your dinner and do your dishes, theres no where else really to go. Companies are also realising that not everyone is caught up in having the most up to date and new shiny phone, that maybe there is more important things in life like saving money.
o2 is being transparent in the fact that you pay through the nose for a phone when you take a new one every year.

I've never ever seen an 18 month contract that is better value than a 12 month contract when you take into account the value of the handset.
Not even going to think about a 24 month contract, crikey, waiting 12 months for a handset upgrade is a bit excessive.0 -
