New o2 tariffs coming soon are to include mainly 18 and 24 month terms.
These will include 22,000 minutes or texts through long weekends.
Sim only packages will have same allowances but will be £10 cheaper than line rental charges on monthly contracts.
Be out soon, keep an eye on https://www.o2.co.uk

This is probably in response to T mobiles free evening and weekend calls to any network on flext35 and above. A fantastic deal giving you up to 10,000 minutes every month.0

Do you have a date?0

Don't have a date as yet, need to wait to be fully briefed on it, won't be long though.
22,000 texts or minutes per month on long weekends.:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0 -
It's a shame that o2 cant come up with some innovative new 6 or 12 month tariffs instead of trying to push customers onto longer and longer contracts.
Where's the value in a 24 month contract? and who would use 22,000 texts in a month??

It's to be environmentally friendly instead of having new handsets constantly being produced. The longer tariffs are cheaper too.:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0

Are you sure it not to reduce customer churn, acquisition costs and drive loyalty and arpu for o2.
I like the the environmentally friendly comment, is that being rolled out as key sales pitch to all o2 in-store sales staff
I personally believe these longer tariffs only benefit the networks, which is why o2 are continuing with this strategy.
