Why is everyone seeming to be rude to stacey21 you just work for o2 and I think it is really nice that she has told us that there is something new on the way...

By the way when is it coming... More info please!!!

I have always said that before long you will just pay for the service and no longer for calls.

Because thats all it is a service.

Got a call from o2 yesterday asking me if I wanted to upgrade... a very helpful lady reviewed my accoung and was honest and told me to stick to my current deal in the meantime and was going to call me again by Friday when a she could offer something a bit better.

And today the 02 tariffs site looks revised... are those the new tariffs we were expecting?

ATM I'm on 250 mins and 100 texts for £30 pm so on the face of it the Online 25 tariff (250 mins and 100 texts) for £25 pm looks cheaper, however this is an 18 month deal (compared to my current 12) and this year as I've had a cashback deal I've not paid a penny. Not sure how the others compare but may be worth further scrutiny.

The 12th month of my contract starts next month and I'm curious as to what I'll get offered...

    Thanks,
    L

I've been on 500mins+500sms for £30 for the last 11.5 months. Back then was given a new phone, £180 and a BlueTooth headset.

Great to know you were given £360 credit, did it include a free phone too?
  • Just thought i would ask if anyone knows how to get a better data bundle out of o2. I am looking to renew in a month or two and hopefully their new tariffs will be a lot better. But from what i can see 20mb £10, but i heard for just a bit moner money people are getting abt 70mb. however, what if you want more than that. I am for the fisrt time looking to get a 3g phone, the new sonyy p1i...but what is the point if you cant get a good data bundle....i am willing to pay and know they wont match tmobiles web and walk...so any other suggestions.

Yes it did include a free phone. The wife and I both signed up to this tariff, I got an SE530i and she had a Pink Nokia 6111, £30 pm each and £360 cashback each (by redemption) from Mobileshop (3 out of 4 which I've had, 4th claim going in soon ;)).

My deal is with o2 online direct and the £180 was credit to my account so did not have to deal with any paperwork... I have been a good customer so i would hope to get some more credit when/if I decide to renew with them.

Are the new tariffs live yet? I called up earlier in the week and retentions couldn't offer anything half decent (wanted 100 mins + 200 texts & Nokia 7373)

Well, i went on O2's website yesterday, and there was a flashing banner on there with a countdown ticker saying "something special is going to happen" or something along those lines. The ticker was on 2 days and counting, so looks like monday (thats if they are referring to new tariff's as "something special"). Could be something else.....

From my time working there i never once seen any discount for data, so unless they are brining out some discount data bolt on's your out of luck.

Stacey, i would urge you to be careful what you say on these boards for the sake of your job, my own personal experience is that they don't like people talking about them.

Elle83, there seems to have been a right balls up with your account but it doesn't surprise me, i had the unenvious job of trying to sort accounts like yours out when cs could not be arsed to deal with the calls.

Which Online 50 are you on ?

    The one with 500 txts and 50 x-net anytime mins @ £17.99pm
    The one with 200 txts and 50 x-net anytime mins @ £18.99pm
    The one with 200 txts and 50 x-net anytime mins @ £19.99pm ?

Or did they stick you on the new Online 50 that is like £50pm ?

Just to confuse you more, it use to be called the online 50 but when the new tariffs came out last year it got a name change to bring it in line with the offline tariffs so it got called the online 20

One thing that i found strange is that we had monthly subs discounts set up for 1, 3 and 12 months but never set for 18 so if we got the approval for a 18month discount we could apply a lump sum credit for the amount ( or give them a lump sum for the last 6 and stick a monthly discount on for 12 ) and every single time you did that the 18 month discount would be more then what you where aloud to put through in a single transaction so you had to do 2 which resulted in the account being flagged for the auditors to check and if they felt it wasn't right you had a nice suprise when you got into work the next day :s
