I sent my form in 3 weeks ago,I rang them a week ago and they confirmed they had got the forms, how long should it take to hear from them,as some people seem to get the cheque very quickly.:(
They are bound to have been extra busy in the final weeks of the scheme...0 -

Like many others I received the letter thinking it was some form of scam and binned it .
Having looked at Martins link I have spent the past several days phoning the Free Phone number only to find I am held in a Q ( 20 minutes the longest so far ) , so I decided to apply online BUT unless you have the code from the original letter "which like Millions of people I NO LONGER HAVE " there is NO facility to simply input your Name and Address in order to obtain the form on line .
To recap ,
1) Little Publication of the CCP Reclaim
2) Unable to get through on the Phone
3) Can't apply for a copy of the form online unless you have the original reference number .
4) Limited time to claim .
Looks like the Banks have won again !!0 -
Morning all,
I've had Card Protection and Indentity Theft policies since around 2006 that were definitely mis-sold. I called the CPP standard customer service line around late June or early July to change the address on both policies. The addresses differed but both had been in accurate for at least 9 months, my own fault; I've moved a few times in the last couple of years and occasional forget to inform the people I seldom contact.
Anyway, CPP CS updated my contact details at that point. However, I discovered this morning that the redress team use a completely separate database and my contact details hadn't been updated on their system. Therefore, when I submitted the request for my claim forms online, they would have been sent to my old addresses.
Fortunately I refused to hang up the phone and, after 40 mins, spoke to a helpful young lady who explained all this and has dispatched new claim forms which she assures me will arrive tomorrow.
Beware, just because you update your details with CPP, doesn't mean the redress team have the correct contact details for you! The cynic in me thinks it may be a ploy that both ends of this pantomime donkey don't talk to each other to limit the number of successful claims.
Fingers crossed:T0 -
Have any of you had repayments from policies sold after March 2011?0

We have asked twice in branch at Santander for a form as my husband never received a letter. Still no claim form has arrived. He spent 2 hours on hold today to the helpline to get through only to be cut off on both occasions. Have sent the template letter today & amending it to point out they failed to send a letter and have failed to action our 2 requests for a form. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised - it's Santander...I had to take them to the ombudsman for cocking up the accounts of the estate of a deceased relative I was the executor for0

Hi
I paid a few quid a month to AMEX for a few years after they pressurised me into signing up for ID fraud protection. I wondered if anyone had pursued them for a refund in the same manner as the CPP case?
Thanks!0 -
Hi,
My claim form is addressed to me in my Maiden name. Does anybody know what will happen in relation to payment in relation to having a different name from when this was taken out? I've had no correspondence for years in relation to this and to be honest - forgot I'd ever taken it.0 -
Hello I was paid about £260. I had a Barclaycard where I was (mis) sold CPP from 2005 to 2010 when I finally saw sense and cancelled it. How do they work out the compensation I am entitled to?0

I filled in my form and sent it off about 2 weeks back - and got £150 cheque back last week.
BUT - I started my policy in about 2001 - cardguard thru HSBC when I got my mortgage and they were just throwing things at us to make us spend, credit cards, gold cards etc
My question - do I pay the cheque in - or do I pursue for FULL redress dating back to the start of the "policy" before 2005?0
