    Sounds like a plan! :)
I'm sure you'll receive more than the price of a stamp in return! ;)
  • Not actually posted on here in years!
Just wanted to say that I sent in my claim a while ago and got it back super fast. Was shocked actually as it took less than a week before they sent my cheque.
    We got awarded £448!!!!
Eeeek, thanks Moneysaving expert! My hubby would've just binned the form had I not filled it in and sent it back!
I sent it special delivery as I was nervous it would go AWOL and I highly recommend anyone thinking of getting their claim in last minute to just do it. You never know.
Good luck with your claims guys!

  • As one of those things, I tried to phone, spent 3/4 hr hanging on, we did receive a letter but not sure which account it referred to, it was binned accidentally, went on line this morning and it asked for a ref. no. for original paperwork if you want a duplicate form...!

    Hi
Can anyone advise me if the deadline on Saturday is just for the CPP post 2005 scheme ?
or is it also for putting in a complaint to pre 2005 CPP ?

    Thanks for any help
  • Hi everyone,

I'm regularly on the site, but this is my first time posting, so I hope I'm doing it correctly!

I've just received a cheque from CPP for £199 for credit card protection .
I don't want to sound ungrateful in any way, but I had this policy for many years and I have to admit I expected more. Does anyone know if there's a formula CPP has to use to calculate what they pay. Should I take their calculation as gospel and go ahead and bank the cheque?

    Thank you!

Yes, they refund all the CPP you paid, plus attendant interest, plus 8% simple interest.

Most people have only received modest sums because that's all that was paid in the first place. This is not PPI.

The refund scheme which ends on Saturday only covers the period post 2005.

Mis-selling complaints about CPP policies prior to January 2005 must go to the original seller of the insurance and are not subject to the same deadline.

Ok. So CPP have said I cannot have a claim form as my policy was done through Sainsbury's bank.

On here the advice is to make a claim to Sainsbury's bank. Is this still subject to the Saturday deadline?

And where do I send a claim? I no longer have the original paperwork, and anyway, the address may have changed since my policy started in 1997! ( It carried on to pass 2005).

Yes I had CPP on a credit card which was transferred to a different provider and then 'disappeared' when I developed what eventually proved to be a brain tumor. I know that before my world went blank I was paying a monthly CPP charge but I have no record of how long for and I am worried that it could have been for over 5 years.

So with no paper records (I have relocated and shredded 'old' papers) I put in a claim. It was almost the full length of time before anything happened and then I received a payment. Nothing in the accompanying paperwork defines what the payment represents and it was not a very large payments. So I am left with a curiosity as I have no idea how much I had paid and if I received a correct payment!

Perhaps I should just forget about it. But.....!
